not voting on price, but I've tried Sennheisers and been dissappointed, if you're looking for sport earphones then Sony MDR's in a similar price range give much much better sound. Having said that - for £8 you cant go wrong!

These are better Sennheiser sports ones however are £7 more expensive too. I posted on here a month or so ago about these, although they are not on PCWorlds website they have them instore for £29.99, got them to price beat Play so got them for £13.50

Maybe it's a missprice ???

I can't say anything about the ones at £7.99 but the ones at £14.99 are great.

I just recently bought a pair for my wife (so she could go running with her new nano) and she thinks they are brilliant. I've tried them out too (but not running) and can say they are good - don't move around at all as the fit is brilliant.

I think this is the difference between the models - the fit will be better with the ones at £14.99. But I might be wrong

The PMX70's are fantastic a great fit for jogging, don't move around at all, just enough pressure with the neck band to keep them stable in your ears but not too much pressure to actually hurt the ears.

Good deal too if you can find them at a PCWorld and get them to do the 110% price beat like I did and got them for just £13.50.

I bought the PMX70's: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/1102677/Sennheiser-PMX-70-In-Ear-Headphones/Product.html
last week and they are amaaaaaaaaazing. Absolutely perfect for the gym, they don't wriggle around or drop out and the sound quality is so much better than the original ipod headphones I had before.

Not sure that these ones would be as secure as the PMX70's they seem a bit more flimsy - having said that, at half the price they look a bargain!

return them! :thumbsup:

Minus the earwax.

Good deal if I know anything about headphones.

Most online reviews mention the poor fit of the earphones - can any users elaborate on this further please? Do they fall out whilst exercising?

Thanks.
#15

I think im going to get 1 of these with the headband type senheisers for £14.99 as i quite like being able to have them around my neck when need to stop listening as its alot less hassle :)

So I could comfortably row/run/bench/sit-up with the PMX 70's?

Thanks to the OP for highlighting the headphones and starting the thread.

I opted for the PMX70's @14.99 delivered from amazon. I then used a £2.50 voucher I 'found' (thanks hukd) bringing them down to £12.49 delivered!

I disagree with you. Senn's are great quality. I've not been happy with the sony's I've had in the past.

yes definitly! basicly there designed to not fall out while runinng / exercising, they definitly won't fall out during weights or situps or rowing (unless you accidently tug on the wires)

i find if i'm sprinting they get a bit lose - but thats very vigourous exercise

these earphones are so good that they also don't let outside sound in, so in theory you shouldn't be able to hear other weightlifters make here stupid little argh noises etc :p (or the stupid gym music...)

Got these a while back when they were £17.99 but not bothered about the price change as they are first class. Finally found a pair of headphones that are comfortable and wont fall out when running. Bargain at this price

I'll agree about the Sennheisers, I've had 3 sets now (over the last 20 years or so) and they've all been excellent. I'll add though that there are now an awful lot of fake Sennheisers out there and the performance of those nothing like that of the genuine article.

As it happens, I've just bought some I'm not convinced about from a PlayTrade seller. Bearing in mind that Play claims that the PlayTraders are "... established traders in their own right with a proven record of providing great customer service", that causes me to lose faith in Play, and rather than buying replacements from Play themselves I've paid £12 more at John Lewis.

Looks like a good deal to me. Just ordered some, going through quidco and using the 5% voucher.

Heat and rep added

I too have seen some fake Sennheisers before on Amazon, from their sellers.

If they arrive un-boxed in a sealed bag, you know they are fake!!

I got a Creative Labs EP-630/A Earphone posted here sometime back at Amazon.com for £7.98 and they work brilliant but I had been searching for Sennheiser and they seemed very expensive.. glad the price has come down now. Will order this for a backup and the funky look it has! Saw people wearing this.. and looks so cool and with so many positive review.. I wouldn't mind trying one :-D ! Never used a Sennheser before though..!

Cheers & Heat Added! :-D
#33
can you wear glasses with these:?
#34
i am really tempted to get them but dont need them so will bite my fist and give it a miss
rated hot though !
#35
Saw these advertised in an email from Apple and really liked the look of them but was totally put off by the price! £7.99 is much more affordable! Head added!
#36
cant seem to get them for that price, coming up £14.99
#37
Seem to be sold out and have gone up to £14.99?:?
#38
Wow, and has Play had a makeover- very chick!

Mine have been dispatched today!
#39
Well mine (LX70) arrived today and i cant help but feel a little dissapointed...

The last Sennheiser cans i had were a pair of PMX60's, which i remember as being quite good. Now these LX70's are in ear headphones, and when comparing them against my Koss Porta Pros they were always going to lose, but i wasnt prepared for the lack of bass.

Is it me or is there absolutely none at all? Its like listening to Alvin and the Chipmunks through a tin can! For what i paid for them and the fact that they actually work well as exercise headphones (they dont fall out) i am still pleased but if i had paid £24 for them they would have gone straight back to the shop.

I guess if you've never known anything better they will sound fine. They arent too uncomfortable and stay in as i hoped, so thanks to the OP for finding them.

Anyone know what returns are like on headphones anyway please? Is it like ear rings where you cant return them for hygiene reasons?:w00t:
