I was floating in the audio department whilst a lady was putting yellow stickers on the headphones and was very surprised at seeing a pair of Black PX 100 marked at £10.00. The white ones are still 40 odd quid.

Just checked the Tesco online price and they are still £40.84. The cheapest i could quickly find was amazon at £28.99. I don't know if its store specific, but worth a try. BTW I took the last pair in the B'pool store sorry.

Here's the description from the website:

The lightweight black Sennheiser Px100 overhead headphones deliver rich sound to your ears. The compact, portable design is ideal for when you are on the go and they will fold into a small size. For extra convenience, these headphones come complete with a carry case. This product is optimised for use with iPods, iPhones, MP3 players and CD players.

At first glance looking at the picture I thought it was a golf trolley.

Great price, heat added.

These have been floating around £18ish (MyMemory.com) etc. Brilliant sound if you don't mind open sound and annoy others :p, IMO, these sound so much better than the PX200 (also have a pair), was so disappointed with the PX200, I bought the 2 pairs PX100 as it was that impressive.

For a tenner, well worth the money!!

Brilliant headphones, very good sound quality indeed. The sound leakage isn't too bad at reasonable volume levels - my colleagues have never complained anyway.
#6
best headphones ever made. at £10 these will last ten seconds. another VERY limited store-specific goose chase
#7
Great headphones, highly recomended

not the first time a deal like this has come up in Tesco, so allow me.
these awesome deals are never, ever found in stores in the north east of Scotland.. :|
not by me anyway
anywho, cracking headphones, cracking price, good luck to you if you can find a pair! :{

I was just in my nearest Tesco in Glasgow looking at headphones, there was a display of offers on Phillips headphones but that was it. Great deal if you could get them..... [edited to add] Just had a search and found this same deal posted a couple of months ago, so perhaps you were just lucky that your local Tesco still had some stock. Still worth having a check just in case you can nab a pair at this price!

well you must have a big head, or really delicate ears..

These are the only Tesco in store offer I`ve managed to get - however, I bought a pair about 4 weeks ago in Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham, following a previous post. They are very good indeed for the money.

Must be! Or the fact there's not much padding apart from an ultra thin sponge.

...or maybe you have a head like a rock or brain damaged!???!!!!1111

I found the same at first, despite having a rather small head, but after persisting for a week they stretched out and were excellent. Rather annoyed when I cut them up with the lawnmower, I'd love a pair at this price.

They've been under £20 for a few years. Play have the white ones for £17.99 still.

I'm more interested in how you managed to 'float' in Tesco, was there a water burst ?

These store specific offers aren't quite as limited as people think. I've been working my notice for what feels like forever and given everyone has left my company I'm left to do what I want, with personal mileage paid. Doing a tour of the southern tescos usually churns up at least one store stocking them, haven't found these yet though.

yes but who wants white

I have these and the 200's as well. I find the 200's better, the 100's just sound stodgy and boomy whereas the 200's have tighter bass and a much richer midband.

You should remove them when having your hair cut!

I absolutely love these headphones. I have had them for a couple of years, and bought these from an Orange shop when they were on sale for £8.

If you look after these well by using the provided carry case, they will last long.

Whilst the bass on the px100's is more than the px200's, it is by no means poor. It is very clear and is not over powering, whilst handling the mid-range and treble very well. These headphones respond very well to equalizers, so you can adjust the bass with some decent results.

The px200's bass is less punchy... so really it all depends on if the individual likes more bass or not.

px100 are slightly better sounding imo than porta pros and alot cheaper at this price so erm that argument fails.
usually a deal on somewhere you can get px100 for similar.
also porta pro have a crap band which adjusts itself and eats hair and looks ugly as sin.

in my local tesco the 40quid px100 were the new version
perhaps the 10quid blacks were first version being cleared to make way for the new versions (white already 2nd version or something) and the price will go up
or these are even bigger bargain that at first glance.

£49.99 in my local tesco

They'll be the newer version, the PX 100-II. That was all they had in my nearest Tesco too. £49.99 in Tesco but you can buy them for £29.99 in HMV!

I totally agree with the comment.
The 200s not only produce better sound, they also stop half the train moaning about the noise from my 100s

Make no mistake the sound quality is good on the 100s but not if you're in a public environment. The leakage is awful
