These are very nice headphones for the money. They sound very good with my iPod Shuffle 2G.

For anyone looking for new headphones with a budget should most definately get these. They sound great and I paid a lot more for mine. My own criticism of them is that they aren't very durable. I've found my PX200 to be a better buy, despite it costing a bit more.

Thanks OVERLORD for the pointer :)

The other difference is that these are open-backed headphones, which means more sound gets out (you'll be one of those tsssh tsssh tsssh tsssh tsssh tsssh people on the bus.) ;-)

PX200's are closed-back, and therefore reduce the problem!

These fold very neatly down into a relatively small box - about the size of a large specs case.

These 'phones have won the What HiFi sound and vision awards for the last three years.

An excellent buy:)

I'll name that tune.......Val Doonican, it's from that Old Grey Whistle Test appearance I'm sure

I have these & they really do let out the tsssh tsssh tsssh.
I won't use them on the train as I feel bad about disturbing everyone.
I much prefer my Sennheiser CX300

I'd second the above comment. They are great headphones - nothing better under £50 in my opinion - but the sound does leak out and they don't isolate the listener at all. I have a pair of CX300's as well. These are also excellent and isolate the listener from other sounds very well. I use the PX100's when I don't need the sound isolated and the CX300's when I do. For extended listening, over 2 hours, the PX100's are more comfortable. They are so cheap - buy both!

The PX200's are a far better buy a better quality headphone and are closed back so the noise pollution is kept to a minimum...Forget these go for the PX200's for an extra £15.00 you get what you pay for....

These are good for the price, but if you have the money,go for the better model (either PX200/CX300)!

CX300 are in ear, so the sound is worse but the isolation is better.

I'm looking to get myself some headphones to use indoors with a 3m or so cable ideally. Can anyone recommend a good deal on these?
#14
None of these are 3m cables, but you can buy extension cables cheaply which would do the job. Having tried all three (PX100, PX200 and CX300) extensively I still think the PX100's have the best sound quality. The closed back of the PX200's does make a difference to the overall clarity and the bass, in my opinion. I wouldn't buy them over the CX300's if isolation is what you want. The CX300's isolate much better and sound great as well. Some people don't like in-ear phones so the PX200's would be a good compromise in that case. As you can get both PX100's and the CX300's for about £40 delivered for both, I would get both. The PX200's are about £10 more than the PX100's usually, though I haven't looked lately. Just my opinion!

Perhaps these are worth considering also - it seems that they are a big favourite in the USA for portable use, and have very little noise leakage. (That should be favorite, I guess). £19.99, plus minimum delivery £2.49 (1st Class Recorded).
