I know some hate the "bigger" headphones but in-ear phones tend to make my ears ache, I don't know why.

There's a Shure headphones discount code for play right now, but I doubt it'll work for this.

Its worth mentioning Mymemory has a habit of doing these before Christmas for £17.99 for two sets.

With their new postage structure this would be £22

However, currently they are listing only one set for £17.99

So the deal is still HOT as the Mymemory offer is not a certainty.

I saw the older listings for the twin pack at Mymemory, it's not listed on there currently, but thanks for letting me know. I'll keep an eye out, though I need a new pair pretty soon. My current PX100s are on their last legs (my fault as I have a habit of getting them tangled)!

Excellent headphones. Lightweight but with a good bass sound (not too much).
#4
great price for these headphones. Have a pair and a massive improvement to what you get with your ipod

Been at this rate for couple of months.
Or am I missing smthg !
Edit: Did not vote either way..

but, Great headphones..!

consistently rated top of its class in all reviews. sound quality is superb. comes in a useful case.
mine were stolen 2 yrs ago :-(

I love these headphones - they have a much nicer sound than either my Sennheiser CX300s or the Goldring GX200s I had. And fold up nice with a travel case.

Bear in mind these are an open design so have a lot of sound leakage. I much prefer the PX 200 - less annoying to fellow passengers and cuts out some background noise so you can hear the music better.

I've not found sound leakage to be a problem with mine - I was quite conscious of this when I bought them due to the open design as you say, but it hasn't proved to be a problem. I haven't had an issue with background noise either.

Excellent value for money.

I own a pair of these and they rock! Buy.

top phones, great price, heat added

Excellent bit of kit. Good price. If you don't like the over the head design, their is a 'street style' version, the PMX100, with a band going around the back of the head. Same 'phones, different design. Cheapest place I've seen them is Superfi for just under £20.

Like someone else above, I have and prefer the PX200s. Much better sound isolation from the faux-leather 'suction' ear pads. Still, a good price for a great set of phones. Great Christmas present.

You can pick up the Sennheiser PMX200 Neckband Closed Back Headphones on amazon for £25 from a private seller or £30 from amazon themself. Not bad.

I have no idea how long they've been this price, it's only because I need a new pair. Sorry if it's old news to anyone! ;-)
#16
I'm sure there's plenty of people who weren't aware of this deal. If Crazyczar knew about it months ago, where was the deal then, he didn't post it did he? So it's recent news around these parts.

Yeah, they're on my Christmas list. I shall never shove anything down my ear ever again after that. I also tried the Grado iGrado phones; sound quality is awesome but the leakage from those is too much of a compromise.

Of course you will not have a problem with sound leakage. Everyone else within earshot subjected to the Best Of Steps might be of a different opinion. ;-)

Pokey

The PX200s are less antisocial, but to be honest, the open design of the PX100s gives them a better sound than the PX200s. Pretty much every review I have read of these two agrees.

I can't recommend these headphones enough. The first point to note is that if What Hi-Fi give them 5 stars take it as gospel that they're pretty good. I've had a paid of these for years. I've tried a few upgrades from different manufacturers and I far prefer them to a pair of £120 headphones I have. I bought them at £30 a few years ago and £15 is a bargain - They've not been changed over the years because they're so good. I'm a bit of a geek with audio equipment and so I'm pretty picky about these things but the PX100s are a great pair of headphones.

PX 100 bad experiences?. Skull Candy?, I've only heard bad things about them, "style over sound" even though they look awful too. Just my opinion...

:? First Person I've Ever Come Across Who Has Even Heard Of Bad Experinces With Skull Candy Headphones, Let Alone Had Any.

It Certainly Isn't Style Over Sound ... More A Combination Of Best Style With Best Sound For Your Money IMO.:whistling:

What's With The Capitalising The First Letter Of Every Word?

Is this the evil Skull Candy Headphones taking over your soul?

I perhaps should have qualified that by saying that I've carried out "experiments" with colleagues to determine the extent to which sound is leaked. None of them has hit me yet so I therefore conclude it to be "not a problem".

I didn't know there was a Best of Steps - is it any good? I would imagine it would be a rather short album ;-)

True, but I don't want to subject unwilling people to my choice of music. Therefore, the PX200 was my first choice. They are excellent headphones; all they miss is a high level of bass. Depending on what you want to use them for, this could be a good or bad thing. They are very detailed, and the bass is definitely present, it just isn't there in spades. The PX100 does have the bass, but loses any privacy. I do want a pair, for those times when I'm not likely to be in a situation where I could **** people off with sound leakage.

To be honest, I'd like a collection: The PX200 I already have, and I'd like to complement them with the PX100 and also the PMX100 as well as the Koss KSC75s - because, although I haven't heard them, they're supposed to be fantastic and they're dirt cheap.

That's a lot of headphone quality for not much money.

does anyone know which has the best bass, Pmx 70 or cx 300? i am not buying another px or pmx as i had a pmx 100 1 year ago and it only lasted 2 months and the neckband was too rigid
#29
I know these are mainly for portable devices but would anyone recommend these for home hi-fi or would something like the HD 201/202's be better?
#30
gagging to get some of these but they are out of stock
#31
Gah, I waited for Santa to get me a pair (he didn't)! and the price went up by £3! I'm going to check out the "competition" as stated on a recent Amazon review http://www.amazon.co.uk/Koss-PortaPro-Quality-Sound-Stereophone/dp/B00001P4ZH/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_i (Koss PortaPro phones; though they're bl**dy ugly looking things).
