#4
Might be cheap but these do work i used them when i was pregnant with my 3rd daughter and my sister used them with her last 2 kids and you can have 3 goes if your in shock and don't believe the first 1:oops: why pay £10 upwards for a test that can give you the same good or bad news as one for a quid???
#5

LOL! Yes, they'll certainly sell a shed load of them in there! Bless...

Is this the one with the coloured bands that tell you whether you are pregnant or not? Believe it or not, some people are unable to interpret these (must be a few sarnies short of a picnic!). Certainly explains why the 'Pregnant' and 'Not Pregnant' plain English varieties are flying off the shelves!

Not sure they'd get more than one - they need to save their money for alcopops and knock-off shell-suits from the market etc.

;-)

Details: 99.96% accuracy
Instructions for use: Pee on stick and wait ~ 9 months :p

#15
All gone now. :(
#16
Yes I saw these a few weeks ago. I remember tests costing shedloads when my girlfriend had a big scare a few years ago.
#17
They are just as reliable as the more expensive ones.
I saw these in Poundland and wondered why people still keep paying for the expensive ones. £10 I think for 2 tests!

why do posts about pregancy tests always end up with the same comments about Chavs and the accurancy of the cheap tests?

The cheap ones are just as effective as the expensive ones. Also, some women who are trying to get pregnant but suffer from fertility problems (and I can think of 1 condition that affects 1 in 10 women) may go through quite a few of these tests.
#22
we stocked up on a few tests not so long ago, not this type but they were still pretty cheap. They do exactly the same as the expensive ones.

Just used the last one last sunday and it was a positive result. A little souljacker on the way :-D:-D

Two reasons in this thread, peoples stereotypes....usual suspected clientel of Poundland are Chavs, and the stereotype of people with most babies are chavs.

As much as I like some offers at Poundland I have to say at least the first stereotype is true, whenever I have been In Poundland there have been chavs either working behind the counter or browsing the shelves.

or free from the doctors

I completely agree with what you are saying about Poundland. I was in Instore (which I think is the same as poundland) today looking at gardening stuff. I bought hanging baskets that looked very similar to ones in B&Q for twice the price or more. They're good for seed trays and plant pots etc too but the people in there look unclean and the staff are wearing grubby tops that look as though they've never been washed.

Which is strange because I know where they can get a large pack of washing powder for a quid...

any would you really want to rely on something as important as discovering whether someone is pregnant on something that cost you a quid

Also a good deal on Home Health
http://http://www.homehealth-uk.com/medical/pregnancy-tests.htm

75 tests for £12.99
and 100 tests for £15.75

Particularly handy if you are trying for a baby as you can mix'n'match these we ovulation sticks

Kits consist of a tiny bit of paper that detects the presence of a hormone only present when a woman is pregnant (or has an ovaian cyst). They're nothing more complicated that a piece of litmus paper. They don't need to cost more than a quid (or 33p in this case)!!!

What would be advantageous is a permanent litmus solution that would flag what hormone a woman has playing up on any given day, help us guys understand their moods, and their excuse that its "my hormones" :whistling:

true but some tests are a lot more accurate than others and i think you would find that the more expensive the test the more likely that its accurate
#39
They have similar kits in WHAT! 3 tests for 99p. I believe they were called Clear Response.
