Anyone know what warranty comes with these ?

I know there have been problems with the Vistron tv's and that they only have a 1 year warranty.. from what I can gather these ones are made by Vistron too, so I'm a little wary!
#3
does this have built in freeview?

Problems is EVEN the Samsungs etc are 1 year warranty (which is disgusting for how much you pay for it!)

Mine is due to be delivered by next Monday, so once i have got the other half to set it up i will be able to let you know the quality of it.
I was one of the fortunate ones to get the 37" DMTech LCD Tv from Currys at £209.00 earlier this year so i am hoping this will be as good quality or better :)

just a heads up there is liek 90 reviews from customers on the ebuyer website i read through them all, VERY helpful the only problem seems to be the freeview being really bad with lip syncing al;ways out and also the code for the remote for sky apart from this every single customer have rated 4-5 stars out of 5.

I bought the dvd combo version of this TV last week from ebuyer which is £20 more but essentially the same set.

The only minor gripes are as already stated - The freeview does go out of sync on occasion but a flick of the channel sorts this. I've a feeling this may be due to a bad signal as I am currently only getting 50% signal strength. The other minor thing is that the lowest sound setting for freeview is a bit loud but this is only an issue late at night and not a major hassle.

Freeview picture is pretty damn good IMHO. Its not the fastest at switching channels but you get used to it after a bit. EPG is a bit weird but does what its supposed to do.

The built in DVD is a bit wasted on me though as I am getting a far superior picture on my HDMI enabled Philips upscaling player.I watched Starship Troopers last night and the detail that I saw in that was amazing. The colours are vivid and I did not spot any smearing or motion blur.
Unfortunately I dont have any HD sources to feed it yet but it does have 2 x HDMI instead of the 1 stated in the specs so that is a bonus.
You can adjust the settings for the various inputs - I have toned it down for colour on freeview as the reds were a bit OTT but on HDMI I have left the factory settings as they seem to be perfect.

Hope this helps - I am very pleased with my purchase so far :-D

Problem is the samsungs are only £340/£350 now. so I hope Ebuyer reduce the price abit as we'd be better of paying £40 and getting the samsung. Cant wait till they do a £269 deal :-)

yes I have a dmtech which i got from Currys earlier on in the year.

Ok, so i have played the xbox thru it and also watched sky, tbh i am really pleased with the picture. There is no ghosting from what i can see the picture is a tad dark but i am sure a little tweaking will sort that out.

So at the moment i am well chuffed with it :)

cool keep us updated friend, can you post some pics. Also doe this TV auto switch between 16.9 and 4.3 etc (ie does it auto select the right size of the channel)

hi spooki any updates on the telly?
#22
Ok updates for the TV, we watched the Formula 1 on Sunday and the picture was still very good quality. The xbox 360 looks great on it.
I will take some pics on my phone later on today and post them so you can take a look for yourselves :)
