Not sure if anyone else has found any cheap 1080p 42" screens, but if anyones looking for one I found this.

As it's ebuyer, don't be surprised if the price goes up when people start buying them.

I have a 26" Vistron Sense, and a 26" Acoustic Solutions, and the Vistron picture quality is miles better (if you want to compare this to the 42" in the Argos sale going for £600.

Also, please don't start the "this spec is rubbish...blah blah blah" debate, it's just a cheap large 1080p LCD TV, if it's what you're looking for then great, if it's not then please don't start critisizing it just because it's not a Pana with a billion to 1 contrast ratio.

Thanks.

The Argos one is only 40" though.

2 inches means a lot, at least that's what the wife says =S

This looks like the Samsung M series - in fact it looks like a carbon, down to teh buttons on the side. One less HDMI, and maybe some other "minor" lower spec, but for the price, it's a great TV, especially if it performs as well as the Samsung. Voted hot.

Just a note (which I've added to the description).

I have the 26" version of this TV, and a 26" Acoustic solutions which I bought in Argos today, and the picture quality on the Vistron Sense is a a fair amount better (not to mention it looks a lot classier too).

The 42" Acoustic solutions one is in the Argos sale for £599.

Wow, didn't take them long....
But even so, the next cheapest 1080p screen on ebuyer is £800 (not sure about anywhere else).

I'm sure they have someone here watching the deals, lol.

And Roccostan, the Argos one is only 40" (and there's no code, you have to mess around buying gift vouchers to get the vouchers the are currently giving away).

Over and over .... looks tempting but ... what about the motion sensing and correction algorithms ? What about the colour control and balancing processing ? What about the noise reduction algorithms ? What about the delay ?

Looks very tempting but these features are actually important on modern TVs than your old stable technology CRTs. I would rather have these and pay 200 pounds more for a sony or LG 1080p.

This TV may actually be good, but without this information I cant make a purchase decision. There is not even a model number on the page.

You can find a Sony 42" 1080p LCD TV that states it has better specs (the ones you pointed out) than this one? For only £200 more?

Feel free to let us all know where....

And the manufacturers model number IS on the page (manufacturer #: 51-42).
