Too true, somehow if they just took SWOS and improved on it's managerial side a little (a few stats, a few training options, a few physio options - a bit like the first premier manager, all of which are optional) and fixed the players values dropping like a lead balloon, then they could be onto an absolute winner. It's so simple, and yet so beautiful - makes me want to get a 360 just to get the version of the game on there, if it's ok :-) The thought of playing SWOS for hours appeals to me....

Alas, this just isn't the same, not in any way. i bought SWOS 2000 after codemasters bought it, hoping that it'd be good - and it was an epic fail. Two plays on it, and then i stopped playing altogether.

Come back sensible software... your games were truly amazing.

Now who wants to make a SWOS league where we travel around the country to play SWOS with each other? More to the point, who has an amiga still? :) The emulators just don't quite cut the mustard either! Though WinUAE is perfect.

Somehow hearing the floppy drive crunch on the Amiga while the game was loading was comforting....

Have i lost it after eating too much Turkey, food, and drinking lots of alcohol? yeah, probably.
