Why should he? Everyones entitled to their opinion on a product and price for spec has nothing to do with it.

With 1/2 hour rating this is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

If you think something is over-priced.... show where you can get it cheaper.....

Most household fires aren't that severe or last that long, though the UL tests aren't that strict.

You can spend £45 on a 1 hour version - these are "media rated" so possibly might stay cooler inside as well.
