  I own the Firefly boxed set on DVD and BD, and Serenity was the one of the first BDs I bought. I abhor fanboism but for anything Firefly I'll make an exception. Ordered. Ta, OP.

  I've already double dipped on both Firefly and Serenity (DVD and Blu Ray) so I don't think I can justify a triple dip! Good deal though.

  Will buying this help the chances of getting another Firefly series or film. I've seen both and loved them, but caught it late. I know the chances are slim to none with the creater making blockbusters now. But stranger things have happened!

  its a good deal of course, but all play exclusive steelbooks are £9.99 on preorder, its the standard price and cant be compared with anyone else.
  
  they are releasing way too many, i have a complete uk dvd and bluray steelbook collection and trying to keep up is tough on the wallet, because i preorder everything (for fear of it going out of print) it means im stumping up over £250 to play in preorders - the only god thing is they are only £9.99 which is the cheapest you will ever find a new release bluray steelbook (and in most cases dvd steelbooks) so if they had been the usual 15 quid each, then that would have been another 100+ pounds id be paying.
  
  preordering every uk bluray steelbook has its upside and downside. on the downside you end up paying double for some steelbooks that drop in price, but on the upside most keep their value and in some cases due to the small print run or even the london riots erasing all remaining stock and the company deciding not to make more (metropolis and shogun assassin) they can go to very high values, in the £70 area.
  
  my only gripe with these steels in the rectangle artwork, it feels more budget style really. at least the fox steelbooks out next week are proper steelbooks for the same prices and are a better wave in terms of film quality too.
  
  i cant wait for them all to come, it seems like forever ago when they first mentioned these cheap steelbooks, and now months later the first 6 should be posted today or tomorrow for the weekend.

  Maybe they could non-canonise Serenity for a new series? They've done it before with other things. Men in Black 2 made the animated series non-canon. Back to the Future: The Game made BTTF's animated series non-canon. The Doctor Who revival meant the Shalka Doctor didn't count as the 9th doctor anymore
