Now onto the deal breaker and the reason I only gave this 3 stars. Ubisofts DRM. The DRM in essence means you must have a permanent internet connection at all times when playing. Whilst I admit not an issue for myself I do not agree with this. Should your connection drop, if just for a second the game pauses and you cannot conintue. A good example is two weeks ago ubisoft suffered a ddos attack and as such all legitimate customers could not login and play their games. Ironically those who had pirated them could.

That really is a deal breaker if that's the case.

Yes, not condoning pirating but it's a sad state of affairs when the pirate version of a game is far superior to the retail version!

Some other games are similar too on PC.

Agreed, its crazy but now I'd rather buy games through Steam.

Steam isn't far off this intrusive DRM and the games only exist whilst Steam exists! but ... this complete attitude U turn is as a result of painful CoH patching.

There are plenty of games I'd like to play, but wont because of the DRM (Panzers 2 etc)

I loved the earlier Settlers games. Had the 1st 2 on Amiga. Versions after 5 were a bit beyond me though.
