Still seems quite expensive. That said it is a fantastic game. Settlers and RISK are defineatly in top 5 best board games ever made, imho.

That's what I thought until I discovered http://www.boardgamegeek.com in around 7 years ago.
Opened up my eyes to a whole new world of boardgames.

The two games you mentioned I played for years, week in week out, between 1997 - 2003. I now see the limitations of both, although occasionally still play Settlers !

If you play Risk with 3 seasoned gamers then the game will never end. Two always gang up on the leader.
With 4 player Settlers, theres always one player left with only a few points unable to compete for the win. A Minor criticism for such a great game, but one we had to live with playing with one weak player for all those years.

This is a good deal. Cheapest I could find it whilst checking my favourite stores. Heat left.

This game used to be sub £20 but unfortunately with the devaluation of the pound and the current exchange rates, all boardgame prices have recently gone through the roof :(
