I can't see how 7 would work on blu-ray, it's so dark/depressing.

Do not see what that has to do with it being on blu-ray.

Anyway..
Good film remember watching a while ago
I'm considering getting this (I should behave after buying so much for myself already ;))

It has one of the best blu-ray transfers I've seen, I highly recommend it

looks stunning! best blu-ray i have in terms of picture quality. it was one of the highest rated blu-rays last time i checked. i heard The Thin Red line is the one to go for now if you want to show off what blu-ray can do.

excellent find. dont be put of because its an older film! they seem to be able to do some amazing things now getting 35mm film onto blu-ray. its down to how much money they invest in the transfer... if its a classic film like back to the future or seven for example they will pump millions into it, however if its something like disaster movie or something similar they will spend the minimum and probably release something that looks barely better than dvd

It's not just the image quality.

Se7en on Blu-Ray also has amazing lossless surround sound if you've got a home cinema set-up capable of decoding Dobly True HD

The sound of the rain throughout the film, while always apparent and in earshot never obscures what the actors are saying.

Glad to hear people's reviews of the blu-ray quality, this is one hell of a film but unless it had a good transfer I wouldn't have had bothered... Thanks!
