Sevlor are the best make out there for this sort of stuff. We have the Sevlor Hudson (which is a bit more pricey as its an expedition quality model) but have been very very pleased with it. Great fun for family days out on the lake. Don't forget buoyancy aids are a MUST.

Excellent price excellent make. Thank you

This comes without paddles and you need a good pump.
I was wondering if it would pass as hand luggage in an aircraft....

This one's 15kg, but the two person one is only 11kg, so will probably be better as hand luggage.

Might be useful for Malaysian airlines flights.

lol you sink in the middle

Oooh, was on the lookout for one of these for holiday next year. Much better than the lethal stuff you get at the beach shops.

????
Japan is where I am thinking of.

Thanks, yes that seems good (£71.31) and it comes with one paddle which can be separated into two single paddles, though apparently it isn't very strong

is this inflatable?
#13
Highly recommended. I own one and it's a really good fun. This one's good for standing, flowing and quiet waters (unlike some of the other ones). I bought peddles from eBay of different brands. Tip: Buy a two-way (inflates kayak when you pump in and out. Slightly more expensive but worth every penny.
#14
I wouldn't want to use one paddling along the coast, but possibly ok if staying in the confines of a bay - I know they're easy to transport being inflatable, but I'd stick with a rigid sit-on-top for use out on the ocean. OK for lakes I guess, or slow moving rivers and if you must have an inflatable this brand is the one to go for.

Is a 2 + 1 boat the same as a 3 person boat or a 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 - 1?

If that is a real picture it is amazing.
The shark just looks too big though.

Great find thanks OP. Heated. Been looking into getting something like this for a while. Can anyone recommend where to get lifejackets/bouyancy aids etc for 1 male adult and 2 kids (5 and 7), a link to a decent pump and also any particular brand or spec of paddle that is best for canal use? cheers

looks like a basking shark, they can get up to 35 feet long
#24
Ah been tempted by a decent branded inflatable for quite a while.

Finally gave in and bought one. The coastguard is going to be busy.

How would people rate this for use in a people smuggling operation across the English Channel? Apparently some people pay a fortune to get into the UK.

The pump up kayaks are very awkward to carry any distance as they are fairly heavy and come in a bag that digs in if you put on shoulders

regardless of what people say they are prone to punctures

Id seriously consider getting a solid one instead

Iv had both and would never buy anything but a solid one in the future

If you have the ability to carry a fibreglass or hard plastic one on the roof of your car get one of them instead
