In memory of the late Malcom McLaren, Great price for a classic CD, be aware these are remastered versions for all the purists out there!

The Sex Pistols' only proper album has become one of those records that is far more talked and written about than listened to. Only a handful of rock & roll bands can genuinely claim to have changed the world, and only one of those can claim to have done it with such a tiny discography (though any number of retrospective albums have been issued since the band met their messy end, this was the only one released while they were still a going concern). It is impossible that any serious fan of modern music is not familiar with at least the singles

Why is this cold?

They should have re-released "Flogging a dead horse". Surely much more apt.

'Changed the world'

Who says punks set out to change the world? I was a kid but it sure was amazing to be around for that period - and then get to hear all the great Pistols-inspired Manchester post-punk bands who came after.

I never questioned whether they set out to change the world, what I find laughable is that people actually believe these clowns did.

Soz, didn't see you were quoting from the hype.

'Changed the world' is deffo an OTT claim - I'd expect Lydon himself to be ROTFLHAO - but it's easy to see why people still get excited about the impact punk had.

Somebody died. Post a deal for a CD that was that price last week and will be that price next week. How sad. He wasn't even IN the band he was the manager ffs.

Very common album, couple of quid on ebay.

Nobody here claimed they changed the world...you sure you're not a Daily Mail reader, the fact you're making statemnets that no one on here has made would suggest you're daft enough to be.??

Fact is, the Pistols had a great impact, along with many others. Every so often , a band or music movement comes along that changes the face of music..... and punk did that.

I'd still far rather listen to the Pistols et al than the pre packaged pap that the likes of money mad Cowell produces under the masquerade of music. FFS, even the charity single he produced was nothing more than a front for his own limited talent musicians.

Pistols , Clash etc are rememered and played 30+ years after the event...... can hardly say that will be the case for the likes of Boyle, Potts and the rest of the Cowell mass production line.

Eevn Johnny Rotten would laugh at any claim they changed the face of music.....unlike the likes of Cowell who very probably believes he does...

I know that he wasn't in the Sex Pistols, I posted because its cheaper than elsewhere, this is Hot UK deals, is it not? And if it was that price last week, you've obviously been looking at it to find that out. You should have posted it and shared your findings, how mean! :-D

A real classic rock album. Every fan of rock music should own a copy.

As charged an album today as it was 30 years ago, (when I first bought it) the Pistols paved the way for many ground breaking bands of the early 80's, not to acknowkedge that fact show shows a little ignorance as to what was going on. I still enjoy playing this album now.

(Ever had the feeling you've been cheated?)
