anyone played spore before? does it have controller support?

Shadow Warrior is definitely worth it for that money, don't let the meh reviews put you off,its a good laugh for a few hours. Portal 1 and 2 are also well worth it if you're one of the 3 people on Steam who don't already have them.

Its fun for a while, but I found it got boring reasonably quickly, I'm pretty sure movement and stuff supports controllers, but its far easier to do the creature making stuff with a mouse.

One of the worst games i've played, had a bit of fun with the creature creation but the rest of the game is just terrible.

Frustrating that dawnguard dlc never goes cheap and that akyrim legendary works out much cheaper.

Spintires grabs my attention every time I see it - it now has an attractive pricetag. Anyone played it?

With most of the early access stuff on Steam you need to pay attention to the "may not be completed" etc type parts of it. There's a couple of games I am VERY eager to have a play with but I'm not sure about jumping in yet (Satellite Reign being the one that's currently led to me having to chew my wallet arm off - it's basically a Syndicate re-mastering for those old enough to remember).

EA is a minefield, only buy if you are happy to live with whatever you get on day 1.

How long ago did you play it?

Shadow Warrior comes with a free Viscera Clean-Up game, pretty fun too.

If you buy the legendary edition it will update your Skyrim game. It's what i did. Don't buy the DLCs separately or you will waste your money.
And don't worry, this will not affect your game progression (save).

Dissapointing that all the games I've been waiting to come down in price have only had 20% reductions this sale. Most of the stuff has been indie games (which were cheap enough to buy at full price) or 1+ year old games that keep getting included in sales.

£70 steam wallet spent, 0 games installed, back to playing old games, WIN!!!

Yeah, it's been a poor sale this time. Not many AAA titles and those are mostly discounted by 20-33% at most. In previous sales I have picked up AAA titles (that were just a year or two old) for 75% off

During the summer, I think. I just struggled to get into it.

What's worse is that this year Steam have raised their normal prices by 20% so cheaper games at -75% are 50p more. :(

Also Steam appeared to raise their prices by 20%, but apparently that's because of a closed loophole stating that VAT is payable in the country where the purchaser is resident, and not Luxembourg where Steam is registered to avoid tax.
Despite paying slightly more, I'm glad that the government bothered to close a tax loophole! Pity there are still many more used by large corporations and rich individuals.

I'm not getting Spore because they recently cut online functionality. I see you didn't include Colonial Marines. Good call. ;)

Don't go giving the government any credit. They didn't do anything. This was an EU Directive requiring VAT on electronic services to be charged in the country of the customer, not the supplier.

And it's not exactly a tax "loophole". You're the one paying more tax. Not Steam.

Special edition adds a couple of extra weapons, a digital art book, and the soundtrack. Worth the extra quid, I think.

I quite like spore. Sure for many peope its too simple but you cant beat the sight of giant pen1s like animals spitting on their prey.

Steam sold two editions: a standard edition and a "Special Edition" that included a digital art book, official soundtrack, and two in-game weapons based on other Devolver Digital published titles; a sledgehammer from Serious Sam 3 and a katana from Hotline Miami in the same retro-pixelated graphics style of that game.

Bought the stand edition lol :)

Thanks for the info, and I agree with you. It's a strange world when they allow major legal tax havens in Europe, and yet they create a relatively minor tax law like that.
