Wow! Excellent price, I thought I had a great deal when I bought one last week for £109.
Fantastic vacuum cleaner, well made and powerful suction.

Oh that's good to know, it's back up to £199 on their own website, so I think I will give it a go. I love Dyson, but they're so expensive, and we currently have a VAX but it's pretty crap. This has an LED light on the front doesn't it? I am hoping it'll encourage my son to use it ha ha

I thought it had the LED on it, but can't see one, on the Shark website it didn't mention it either, but that didn't really bother me, very flexible too when it detaches from the base. I had £90 in vouchers for Amazon, so ended up paying £20 so still not complaining, their customer service is good too.

There's good reviews too, and lots of them, they outweigh the bad ones, plus a lot of the reviews are quite old now. I will risk it for a biscuit and hope the hoover picks up the crumbs!

That appears to be a NZ / Aus model. The above is UK

As regards the suction, when I first tried it, I thought there was something wrong with the wheels as it struggled to move, so I switched it off and the wheels were fine, it was the suction was so strong it was like it was glued to the carpet, we had an old Panasonic bag one, which I thought was still ok, but after this I realised how bad it was.

Reserved one, Anyone own one? does this vaccum keep it's suction?, is it heavy?. thoughts?. Is Shark warranty good?...I'm sure Argos returns for certain vaccums are to manufacturer only even in the first year.

Considering this too posted on here:

Vax Air Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Handheld Bundle - worth £279.98 - £79.99 @ VAX.

I have a VAX currently and I don't rate it, but I suppose it's all a matter of opinion. Just toss a coin, let the queen decide for you ;)

I own one, had it over a week and would recommend it, before I bought it, I dropped an email to Shark customer service for some info on filters and the manual too, within 20 minutes had a reply, not a true representation for customer service, but not many companies answer that quickly to emails. It is not heavy, but nice quality build, so far the suction is good, but only used it a few times, it is important to read instructions too as manual originally said clean filter once every three months, but a shortened manual that came in the box says every month.

There's a Youtube reviewer I watch sometimes, ibaisaic and he is very well-informed on vacuums and is a bit of an obsessive collector. He doesn't rate Henrys which surprised me as they get a lot of love on HUKD but he is enthusiastic about Shark.

He reviews the Rotator Lift Away NV340 and Powered Lift Away NV680 on his channel, both get glowing reviews.

Heat added & ordered, thanks, seems great from reviews.

How would the suction on these be compared to a 2000w miele?

Bought a Shark NV480UKT last September so different model but same manufacturer. Seems well built and does a better job than the Dyson did. Nothing has fallen off it so far though hasn't suffered the "falling down the stairs" test (yet).

A quick question for anyone who has bought this model.... The pet power brush mentioned, is that a rotating brush which spins as it is in contact with the floor?

I don't have pets but was advised to get a cleaner with rotating brush..I see some of their more expensive models feature a powered head which I assume is what I am after, but hope this is the same thing.

Just want to make a comment too that i have a shark lift away and rate it very highly. We also have a Dyson ( that we got before getting a Shark) which is left behind in the cupboard as the shark gets used all the time instead. The Shark is not as heavy which is a bonus, the suction is also much better and the lift off function means doing the stairs is a breeze.

I dont know how many of you have seen the advert for the Shark. So many hundreds ( think it was) of people were given a Shark and a Dyson hoover to use for a month (think it was that amount of time) and see which they preferred. 75% preferred the Shark. Quite shocking i suppose for those who havent ever used one but for those of us that have, we know why they are much preferred over the Dysons.

I say get ordering.

I have another model. But after owning a Shark liftaway, j will never own another Dyson. It beats my Dysons hands down on both power and versatility.

Red hot price.

We have the NV340UKT. The LED's on the front come in far handier than I imagined. They help you spot things you'd otherwise have missed.

I imagine most people will be blown away when they try a shark for the first time. After 20 years of Dyson I was apprehensive. But I'd definitely buy a Shark now over a Dyson.

Just replaced a Samsung bagless with Hoover Breeze and man it sucks! Reviewers complained about it needing a lot of strength to move because the suction is strong on certain settings. Exercise and clean floors - brilliant.

Seems to be good availability too!

To answer my own question, yes it does have a motorised brush which is essential to properly clean a wool carpet. Got an email back from their customer services confirming that all their vacuums have a brush. So I've just collected one from my local Argos. Thanks OP

Shark are brilliant vacuums, I bought a Shark Rocket powerhead a while back and it did an amazing job compared to the Dyson

Only one negative I noticed about the Shark, It does not come with a crevice tool long enough for when you vacuum the car and try to get into all the nooks and crannys, I have dropped them an email to see if one can be purchased, but just bear this in mind.

Miele is the only vacuum cleaner I would buy. You can pick one up for around £100 or less online or at John Lewis

That is true, Miele is a fantastic make, but firstly, it is not bagless, and secondly, you wont get an upright one for less than £200.

so you've tried all the other brands I guess? You'll find Shark and Dyson (to a lesser extent now) to be far superior to anything else on the market

Well I bit the bullet and bought one, I couldn't believe it's just 900W as the suction is phenomenal and it's the best one I've ever had for hard floors. My husband says it's the ugliest vacuum he's ever seen though, I guess it does look a bit funky but who cares as long as I get the job done!

Well after posting and thinking I'd better buy one, I'm glad I did. It's brilliant! The lift away part is so handy, it's encouraged me to have a proper spring clean but then I though I deserved a glass (bottle) of wine last night for all my hard work and now I have an epic hangover. I blame the Shark solely for this !

Bought one on saturday and have been very impressed, more powerful than the dyson.

I can't seem to find the serial number for it though so that I can register the warranty. Looked all over the box and the vacuum cleaner itself but can't see it :|

was wondering why this vaccum is only 900 watts, then I saw a change in eu restrictions... ridiculous when they claim you can save £12 energy annually!. Has anyone owned this vacc for a while? does it keep it's suction?

serial number is on the hoover, on the side I think
