If you can collect, then can get the same deal for £534.50 in Coventry but other than that looks a good deal.

Sounds like a great deal but Tv prices are set to tumble within the coming months, so I'm holding out for now but I noticed a deal last night and I had to stop myself from buying it because I know something better is around the corner.

Voted hot for the people that need it now, as it's definitely a great deal, especially with the 5 years warranty.

Sharp customer service is appalling should you need to use it.

Is that definitely the case? I'm really tempted by the cheap 32" Sony that's come up on here, but don't want to end up regretting it!! :)

I did see one post suggesting the fall in the pound could push prices up again, which kinda makes sense when you look at the trend...

I didn't see the Blu-ray player with this deal in Coventry so hot from me

Why are tv prices set to tumble? With the current poor exchange rate I half expect them to go up.

As I said in the original post, I had been looking for a couple of weeks. Based on the spec of this TV, and the fact that best price for the TV alone is around the £530 mark - I was tempted enough to order it because I felt I was getting a Blu-ray player and extra four years warranty for about £40 after quidco.

As for comments on Sharps customer support - I have a 32" sharp Aquos, now about 3 years old - it has performed faultlessly, and I hope the new one does to, so I reserve judgement for the moment.

Re: Prices coming down - Yeah they are likely to fall a little IMO - but as previous comments, the exchange rate is VERY poor. And anyway, how long do you wait for the lowest price - it may never reach your ideal after all!

You will get sharpserv customer service, by legend the worst ever !

Plus had 2 1080p 46 inch sharp TVs and set em back to finally get a refund, sharp banding and black marks.

How would this model be known for such a thing? Its only been out a few weeks... no reviews even available for it....

PS the deal is hot, seen it in Currys today for £650

Yes, exactly - I've searched all over the www and not found any reviews. However, have found a couple of anti-Sharp comments about banding.

So, to all of you that quote banding problems - please provide evidence - now there's a challange for you

They never will, there is always bad information given on the forurms when it comes to tv's. But then again that is internet forums for ya, people can say what they want before thinking about it.

I can only quote from 2 sharp purchases so not a great statistical sample however first one has never gone wrong so never needed them.

Second I bought for my in-laws and they weren't happy with the sound on their 37" LCD. Sharp engineer came out to them and tried to fix it. They weren't happy after a few weeks and they came out and replaced the set. A few months later they noticed the sound going again and an engineer came out and replaced the sound board. Now very happy.

Now I don't know about you but that's great service. I'd prefer nothing to go wrong but when it does it's how they respond that counts.

ordered mine yesterday online. I got a call from Simon from Electrical Discounts just to say that they are currently out of stock due to the demand and that they send their courier to Kent/SE London on thursdays.

However, he has said that they will be getting more in this week and will phone me directly when they are in. If thats the case then will have to say excellent customer services too.

Hi, seen this advertised for £499 in Makro.. obviously have to add the vat though :(
#26
I have cancelled my order with these people as no stock. Why do companies advertise stuff, if they can't get it or have it!

There web-site now says "OUT OF STOCK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE"

I do not see TV prices tumbling anytime soon, the pound is weak and TVs are an imported item so no big falls unfortunately.
Yes they will get cheaper because of transport costs falling due to the oil price and as new technology comes to market older technology will be sold off.
However as with the car industry the best deals may be here and now as stocks need to be cleared by retailers.
However due to the economic climate Japan , China etc will not be producing TVs for the UK in the numbers seen over the past few years, they will cut back production to keep prices firm and retailers will buy less stocks if they know they will be hard to shift at RRP.

The same is happening in the car industry when production as been halted at certain plants.
