This is cheaper at richersounds* - http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct_clearancebargains&pid=SHAR-BDHP20H

*subject to stock, delivery charge, location for other people to get to the store - all the kind of stuff people whine about on here.

Voted hot for availability to everybody, and price.

no ethernet?

how much would it actually cost the companies to put an ethernet on every machine? i guess they're just greedy & want everyone to upgrade everytime they make some slight changes.

heat added anyway :)

All the reviews I've seen say this won't play any other file formats like Divx & JPEG etc. - only Blu Ray & DVD. It's alsogot ethernet or USB and is only Profile 1.0 so can't play all the latest features on Blu Ray.

This is probably the worst Blu-ray player out there..................dont touch it.

The Samsung 1500 is way way better and can be bought for £155 at Richer Sounds (price match with Amazon)

Personally I wouldn't touch Samsung for any consumer electronics.

I've had a few of their mobile phones in my time and they truely have been the worst I've ever seen (and I used to work for Orange so have probably used all of them).

I've also (to my error) trused a few of their hard drives in my time and had nothing but issues and data loss.

I also (what was I thinking!?!) recently purchased a Samsung LCD TV...the colour tone of the picture on SD images was absolutely dreadful (it was like watching a cartoon). I had to return it the next day and get an LG replacement (which seemed to perform a lot better, software was a considerable improvement).

I'd (personally) only buy Samsung if you really can't afford a better manufacturer like Sony, Panasonic or Pioneer. And I would't touch Sharp (especially a profile 1.0 machine) with a 10 foot barge pole.

Watch this, I'm going to get a load of insults flung at me now simply for not having good experiences of Samsung technology...I'm only reporting my personal (and factual) experiences. If you disagree then great, I'm happy for you.
