Hi
Thanks for posting. I have added an image to your post.
This is a link, made by rayman, which explains how to add images in great detail. It’s worth taking a look at if you are going to post more deals in future : - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/339941/how-to-post-and-host-images-for-thr/
Or follow the link in my signature.
Kind regards

Cold from me, and I actually own one! Bought one of these for £57 a few months ago at Makro which was a steal. Whilst they are good players, they are only Profile 1.1, which is fine at the price I paid, However with the recent deals on Blu Ray players sub £100, there are now Profile 2 players at this price point.

This would be a good deal at £70 or less, but in the current market, as an older profile 1.1 player at £90...nope.

hot deal because it is and thats regardless of what profile it has or what you think its worth (rolls eyes), its the cheapest anywhere.

Just because its the cheapest currently anywhere does not necessarily make it a deal though. I own one of these, its an old outdated model (replaced with the hp22h (profile 2.0), whilst it would be a bargain at the right price, within this price bracket when you can get profile 2 players at the same price my post is actually helpful!!

Thanks for this cicobuff, I was tempted but being new to Blue Ray, I didn't realise there were different profiles.
I think I will wait for a better one.

The award winning Sony BDPS360 Profile 2 player is only £6 more than this one delivered and offers far greater value at this price point :) Amazon linky.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0027FFX4O/phaedrus363-21

And if you are not bothered about Profile 2.0 BD Live content on a player anyway, then for the same price as this Sharp instore at Argos £89.99 you could get the LG BD350 which also supports DIVX playback with a front USB slot (something this Sharp doesn't it only has a rear USB for content storage and firmware upgrades, no DIVX compatibility)

As I said earlier for the right price this Sharp isn't bad at all, I am not complaining at the £57 I spent on it from Makro, but for the price bracket Asda have it at for an older model, there are better players out there for the same cash.

Thanks cicobuff, I will look into this more. You may have stopped me buying a "betamax"
