That's a very good price for a BR player - good find

Was £92 at Makro (I know you need a trade card)

Its not a very good player, and its end of line.
#3
yes its end of line as Sharp is putting HP22 in market, but thats 200 quid so this is worth the money i guess.

To me thats hot.

I have this player and its very good. Very good at upscaling ordinary DVDs as well.

Is it worth paying this to upgrade from a normal DVD player?

I'm no expert but aren't the new ones all profile 2.0? Is this upgradeable?

Even better with student discount! BR for £90! not bad at all, shows the prices are finally coming down

This player basically won't be able to do some of the extra features that a 2.0 will be able to do BUT it will play the film. Depends how much you value extras. I used to, but these days I barely have time to watch the film so would do me, if I didnt have my Ps3.

Its not 2.0 its 1.1.

Its not upgradeable to 2.0 as its does not have an ethernet connection. If you want to upgrade the software, it can be done via the website on a USB stick or CD rom. Software may have to be upgraded if there are issues on playing certain Blu ray discs.

Quality of Blu ray is excellent IMO.

I noticed that, seems to be the US model but issues cleared up
for most with firmware updates.I located and have allready downloaded
the firmware Ver.1.16(improves playback for Australia,Quantum of Solace
may be others)but how do you get firmware Ver 1.05&Ver 1.14 which improve
playback for various other titles Thunderball,Young Frankenstein,Horton Hears
A Who etc or does the last firmware update cover all?

Select product code(second one)scroll down to model no.
Select System download type(software/firmware for public use)
Then search.download for cd rom or usb

if you don't fancy burning a disc, phone sharp and they will send you the update disc for free
