That's a different TV - as I said in OP, this is the LC22LE320e model, not the inferior LC22LE22e in your link.

I can confirm it is the lc22le320e - just picked one up in knaresboro. Insanely good deal - the technika I bought earlier in the week is going back to tescos. It was crap - feel stupid saying that really.

there's probably a good reason for half the model no being shown - it could be either model supplied (or others if there are)

Does it play avi films from the hard drive? Thanks
#27
I just connected my 320gb portable hard drive - plays everything including my HD video. It normally needs power from two usb ports, but the tv provides enough through one. This tv gets better and better.

BTW - you need the firmware update mentioned above to sort out the playback of video from usb - before I installed it I wasn't able to adjust the screen size to 16:9 and was left looking at 'Fat people' - all is weel now though.

have a reservation for this for the dagenham merrielands RP store. pm me if you want reservation number

Picked last one up at Kirkgate store in Bradford. Really great little TV.
#33
Happy with mine - Thanks OP.
#34
Thanks to the OP. Managed to pick one up today and thinking about another one for the little fella's room...
Anyone had problems playing HD stuff on it?
Some of the stuff I've downloaded comes up with a message "Audio Codec not supported" - I've updated the firmware to the latest version from the Sharp website too :)

Cheers

I do not have the Option for EXTRAS after pressing the MENU button to upgrade from V2.04 to V2.1...anybody able to help ?

Plus....some channels are badly pixelated on Digital. For example ITV1 is jumpy on DTV but ATV is excellent. My previous UMC HD TV did not have this problem and all other TV's are fine in the house.

Yep, it was the same for my TV last night. I upgraded mine from 2.02 to 2.10
I'm trying to remember where I found the sw version now - It was something like press MENU and then TV and scroll right down to the bottom
I can check for sure tonight when I'm home if you need me to :)

Have you got a 1.5TB drive formatted in FAT/FAT32 or is it reading NTFS?

Thanks to the OP. I was lucky enough to get the last one from Gateshead High St. store - all other ones in & around Newcastle were OOS.
Very pleased with our purchase, picture quality is very good - though we were coming from a 17" analogue only 4:3 LCD that we were using for watching TV in the kitchen.
I did read a few reviews saying that changing chanel was slow, but it find it perfectly ok - 1 second between the button press and the channel change - quick enough for me. I've yet to upgrade the firmware to v2.12 - which may improve it futher.

I'd been looking at the Samsung UE224010 TV but when this came up at £165 it was a no-brainer. Very slim (<4cm - albeit not as thin as the aforementioned Samsung) and smart looking.

If you can get one at the price of £165 - I'd highly recommend it

Managed to do it with a few searches on tinterweb by just loading the USB with the update only and inserting USB before switching TV on. Update was recognised and asked if I wished to proceed.....job done, now running at 2.1....may have to get a High Gain Aerial to sort the 'iffy' reception since it is recognised problem with ITV and others.
