Need a TV for the mother in law but she needs two scart leads. One for the old DVD player and one for cable. Anyone know if the older DVD players can connect using a different method than scart?? This one looks a great deal.

Never had a Sharp TV before. They any good?

Sharp are considered a Premium brand in Japan, but not so here. That's marketing for you.

I have 4 flat screens, one is a Sharp Aquos and it's been good as gold apart from right at the start when it needed a firmware update that couldn't be done OTA and Sharp immediately sent me the required stuff to update it.

I particularly like Sharp's GUI and depth of control over the picture.

p.s. i went into currys today, they have it on display for £280, there is two HDMI ports on the back, 2 scarts, and component/composite connectors, also a vga input.
