  Genuine Sharp TVs start at Series LE6, e.g. xxxxLE6xx ... xxxxLE7xx ... xxxxLE8xx. This is not a proper Sharp. Designed & made in Turkey by Vestel. The TV behind the Sharp badge is essentially the same as in the 'Supermarket' TVs made by Vestel.

  I got one from sharpdirect a couple of months ago and its pants. Picture is poor, build quality is poor, and it tells me my signal is poor one minute and excellent the next, thus causing the picture to break up constantly. (My signal isnt poor, it is a very good signal)

  Sorry but who cares?! It is cheaper than anything else available... you can't exactly go expecting to buy the cheapest TV and have it being top of the range! However, whilst this is not going to be the best TV, you can be pretty confident it will not be the very worst. In my mind that makes this a steal for a second TV and it makes anyone voting cold a bit of an idiot.

  I bought a 32" tecknica last year for £170 even though some people on here were spouting reviews/specs etc and trashing it. It is still working. Still gives a good picture. Still gives good sound. I am still very happy with the purchase.
  
  No: these are not £3000 50" 3D LED mutts nutts tvs that would love to have a cigarette after a movie and would like to make you breakfast in the morning...

  I Bought one last week. Nothing wrong with it. Freeview scan went fine but I'm using it with a V+ box. Some people seem to be missing the point here. This is not a top of the range telly. It's a £178 telly. A 32" LCD for £178! The picture quality is great..for a £178 telly. The build quality is great..for a £178 telly. It looks great..for a £178 telly. You get the picture. If you're looking for a 32" telly on a budget..then this is fine. I'll be upgrading my main telly to a £1200 Panasonic plasma in 6 months. I'll be expecting THAT to be top class. I didn't expect this to be top class..and I'm not disappointed.

  I bought this tv 4 months ago at £219 with a 3 year warranty and am very happy with. No problems at all. Set up was childsplay (or should that be adults play these days as the kids are for better than us at these things now!)
  
  I also recommend it without hesitation.
  
  If you want a £600 TV for £178 then you're not going to get it, but if you want a perfectly decent 32" LCD TV for £178 then rush out and buy this one before it sells out because at this price its an absolute bargain.
