I have a sharp aquos version 1. Had it since they first came out it still knocks the socks of some of new version i've seen.

Now if it was a Tecknica then you might have a point!

For the price the Samsung LE40C580 with Freeview HD is a better purchase.

Agreed. I cannot find any reviews for this Sharp at http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk or http://www.avforums.com or http://www.which.co.uk.

The 38 Which? recommended 'Best Buy' TV sets comprise:

Samsung: 12
Sony: 12
Panasonic: 8
LG: 5
Philips 1
Sharp: 0

Sharp probably make some decent TVs, however, in the absence of a review, it's risky to spend cash on this one.

Still, people who buy LED Edge-Lit LCD TVs often seem to prioritise slim form-factor over picture quality, so it'll probably sell well just because it'll look sleek & sexy when wall-mounted.
