I think it works out at under £600 when you take into account the Quidco cashback and Nectar Points. Get the full value refunded if England win the World Cup! We aren't favourites but we've got to win it again at some stage so you just never know! :)

Even at the normal price of £699.99, it seems a decent price considering it's a Sharp 42" LED with Freeview HD! :D

Add in all the bonuses and personally I think it's a cracking deal! XD

Description from the Viking Direct website:

"Advanced LED technology for lower power consumption.

* BRIGHTNESS. Sharp's UltraBrilliant LED system illuminates the TV to extremely high brightness and contrast levels and enables significant environmental benefits such as longer life expectancy, no heavy metals and lower power consumption.
* DEPTH. At the same time, the XGen LCD Panel utilizes an ingeniously devised pixel design that permits more light to pass through even while minimizing light leakage, with the result being the deepest black levels that AQUOS has ever achieved.
* Please note that this item is exempt from the Viking Direct 30-day trial unless returned un-opened. Manufacturers warranty applies.
* Please allow up to 14 working days for delivery."

hi seems ok... but did a quick search and instead on betting on england to win you could just save yourself around £60. link here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sharp-LC-42CT2E-widescreen-FullHD/dp/B003IBVGXS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1275873308&sr=8-1

its not amazon but its a known company selling on amazon.

You are right dmaster. Unless England win the world cup it's not such a good deal at all (if they do though then it's a cracker).

Looking on Crampton and Moore at the 46" version - it's full screen LED rather than edge lit and also comes with the 5 year warranty. Now that's what I call tempting! :D

I'm looking for a new tv but want 1 slightly bigger than a 42".
Have you got a link for that 46" and also are sharp any good?
Sorry, know nothing about tv's and struggling to decide which 1 to get!!

I don't know a lot about T.V.s either, I can vouch LED TV's being pretty awesome in comparison to LCD, but a good one does cost a few quid. I just bought a 50" very recently and looked into the Sharp LED, prices around £600 at the time, sounded like an awesome deal as was originally around £1200ish, but reviews were awful for that TV hence Sharp were trying to get rid.
