alright ended up buying this and I got to say, it is a really nice tv
pros:
-the 3D is really good
-great picture
-nice looking tv
-lots of inputs
-two tuners so you can record one channel while watching another
-does timeshift aswell
-can watch 3D from "side by side 3D" youtube videos
-lots of configuration
-reads media from the network(DLNA - the manual recommends nero media home) and usb
-wi-fi
cons:
-the smart part isn't that good, a bit slow, but has youtube and BBC iPlayer amongst others.
-tricky to connect to wifi
- miracast is a bit dodgy haven't been able to connect with any of my devices (nexus 6/ galaxy note 10.1 (2012)), I supose they might not be miracast compliant.

overall I'm really happy with this, I had bought a panasonic TX-42A400B (300£) the week before but wasn't happy with the features/price and ended up returning it, this sharp one is a nice upgrade
