Sainsburys have done it again and with this deal I may well break the cold vote record. Does anyone know what the current record is?

Nice one sainsburys.

They have loads of items on 3 for 3 quid at the min, I thought it was all mix and match? Some cost as much as £3.35 each, others are as low as 85p. You'd be a complete muppet to buy just the items that cost less than a quid though!

Cold? No chance!

I say lets make this the most scorching deal on here!
LOL

Tut tut tut, very naughty!

OMG this is HILARIOUS!! :D

Hm...no.

Agreed, Sun Dried Tomatoes in oil are 3.30 something a jar or 3 for £3. I bought a case of 6.

you realise if you bought 3 of them at 99p it would cost you £2.97 right?
#12
Count me in lightsaber - voted cold.

There's nothing wrong with it. If you wanted 2 sauces which are £2.50 and one of these, in this offer it would cost you £3. If this sauce wasn't in the offer it would cost you £5.99.

You could just buy another expensive one to save more, but maybe you'd rather have this one.

My God, he's right!

although extremely amusing the deal isn't technical correct as it's not just the sauces in the 3 for £3 Sharwoods offer; it's cooking sauces, stir fry sauces, poppadoms (cooked & uncooked), mini nans, large nans, wraps etc most of which at around the £1.50 mark.

Heat added though just for having the balls to post it :)

asda have innocent smoothes at the moment at £2 a box or 2 boxes for £5
#17
should clog up "misc" with this as there's no deal :p
#18
there's loads of rices and sauces in this offer that go up to £1.95 each, so it's not that stupid really

Supermarkets know about a third of us Brits cant do the basic maths to work out if a multi buy deal is really a good deal or not.
These price "mistakes" are not mistakes.

This is very true, I work in FE and its amazing how many adults lack basic numeracy skills. The supermarkets work on the 'If its got a yellow sticker its cheap!' principle and like sheep the customers lap it up. I've often seen things on half price deals when next to them on the shelves are comparable products at less £/Kg.

I saw a program that tested people's maths in a supermarket and it was shocking. Simple things like 1/3, 20% etc. I think they slept through school!

Picked up 2 jars of sun dried tomatos and 1 bottle of balsamic for £3 the other day, saving over £6. Wasn't clearly signed that you can mix and match.

It's discrimination against the stupid and should be outlawed oO

This is quite an ignorant comment without proof that this deal actually adds money on to the 3 purchased items to increase the price to £3. If you were to buy the 3 items that came to £2.97 it wouldn't charge you another 3p in order to add it up to the quoted price.

This is a fantastic comment, it's always good to look at the £/KG and not even people bother. Top tip there :)

Well done Sherlock......

Someone get this person a beer....

Clearly you lack the basic intellect to work out what I was saying. Let me break it down for you...

It's not a price 'mistake' it's a multibuy deal with lots of different items that can be mixed and matched.

If you purchase 3 items that come to less than £3 combined it does not charge you extra money to make it up to the £3 quoted. I'm guessing you're in the third of Brits.

I have decided the best policy for me is to avoid Sharwoods. This is all way too complicated for a humble man looking to make a simple curry :)

And these will typically be the people moaning about the state of education in our schools nowadays!

Then try the M&S sauces, they are under a quid each.
