Good deal for Shiitake Mushrooms especially, also a few other specialty mushrooms that cost in the region of £2.50 in other major supermarkets.

There are burgers in a can and have been for years. A company called Westlers do them and have for years. I buy them from Farmfoods for a quick meal for the kids when we return from a day out etc.

Its amazing how they have managed to make these mushrooms taste of nothing! I tried to cook them a few different ways and each time got no flavour from them... So cold from me.

Seriously who eats mushrooms from a jar?

Buy some shiitake spores for a few pounds, drill them into a log and grow your own.

Nothing wrong with them, they're good on a roll.

I shall be buying a couple of jars as these are succulent and go very well in stir frys.

Gods price. I struggle to enjoy fresh or jarred versions though. I buy the dried ones from Chinese supermarkets. After a soaking the flavour is amazing. The drying process enhances the natural flavour.

Has Alan been cultivating mushrooms? Is that the reason they didn't let him present the Chelsea Flower Show this year?

Wouldn't be much of a shock,
Wogan's been a little ... unconventional on Eurovision recently...

Yes although that impression he does of Graham Norton is spot on.

Shiitake. Isn't that what you get when you're out and you can't find a toilet?
