An utterly useless one yes, and these are ROAD BIKE BRAKES. I encourage you to find a new road bike for that much.

Edit: If you were joking, 'HA, HA'

Great price.

I've been looking at the Shimano 105 groupset on Ribble but if I can buy them cheaper seperately then I might look into it.

Anyone know if the 105's groupset but be a huge step up from Sora? If not, then I might just change some parts of the group like the Rear Derauiller and brakes.

i would say 105 is quite a bit better than sora, i've been slowly upgrading bits on my trek 1.5 and each time i have been able to tell the difference. Reading most of the forums the consensus is that 105 is pretty much as good as the ultegra stuff just without the price hike.

Thanks mate. Repped for your help.

I'm thinking the 105 is the best for Cost Vs Performance.

I think after this, we start having too much diminishing returns.

Agreed with the cost vs Performance, the 105 stuff is really well made and looks the business....doesn't stop me wanting the nice SRAM red stuff though ;-)

For those voting cold please let me know why, if you've found a better deal on these elsewhere it's worth posting!

Good price for the 105 hardware, tho for those upgrading from OEM brakes might be better off getting a set of 'Kool stop salmon pads' instead to improve performance. Always come up as the one best pad available of road bike forums! Make sure you get the salmon ones - best performance.

Heat added.

Great price, i'm replacing the unbranded brakes on my trek 1.2, mostly out of neccessity as I sure one of these days i'm not going to be able to stop when coming downhill. Anyway this is a great price - I've looked everywhere. You would be very lucky to even get these on Ebay at this price.
