Not for the pro but good enough for an occasional XC rider like me who needs a new front wheel which will take some of the rough stuff. Various options for different rims/spokes if you want to customise, not all cost extra.

Basically the cheapest price I could find for a wheel of this quality.

Nice, i need a new front wheel, upgrading to a front disc on my training bike.

I presume you can get a disc hub?

What am I asking, I'll go look myself.

Hot.

FAIL - appears they dont have any disc hub ... so this will be of very limited value?
#4
M530 is not a disc hub and can be had for an amazing £7

Good point, I've updated the title.

They do the same sort of thing for disc wheels too but they start at £40.99 here http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Kits.aspx?ModelID=38602

Or £42.99 for the Deore versions here http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Kits.aspx?ModelID=2561

I need a wheel for my Indian Fire Trail, nearing antique status, hence the rim-brakes.

Are you just going front disc and leaving the rear on the rim? I was considering that but wondered if it might be difficult to control?

Sorry - it's still a good post, and I voted hot.

Well 75% of your braking is done by the front, so I was gunna get a Hope M4 on the front, and keep the V brake on the rear still.

Nah it won't be difficult to control, upgrading the rear wheel to disc will just cost more and be more hassle, the front one is pretty easy to change (new wheel and brake, not much messing with moving casette, cabling etc)

Just incase anyone's buying this and needs a tyre to go with it,this deal was posted last week:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/473287/michelin-country-mud-26-x-2-0-tyre-/

Sorry if this dosent apply to the wheels, but thought I'd let you know just incase it match's what your buying, seemed a great price for me.
