SHIMANO MT32 MTB SPD SHOES - sizes 40, 41, 47 £23.99 @ Chain Reaction - Free returns collect + & 3% Quidco/ TCB

hollymiahollymia

Shimano MT32 MTB SPD Shoes in limited sizes 40, 41, 47 but an absolute bargain at £23.99 with free returns collect +

I bought a pair and they are very sturdy but also pretty discreet for cycling shoes - just look like trainers really.

Unfortunately not a video game but for active people a steal.

Remember to go up one size is the recommendation with Shimano shoes.

Ahh why did they have to have my size!! You're bankrupting me mate.....seriously though fantastic bargain, pay more than this for supermarket specials....keep em coming.
Like you say always go a size up with shimano.
Glad there's someone else here that's into more than DVD and lager deals.

    I'm bankrupting myself!

Unfortunately they were available in my size too and I thought it was rude not to at £24. I like the fact that they are discreet. They are pretty weighty at over 500 grams each but I just see that as adding to my fitness!

    Glad to have helped

Perfect timing, I have just returned form Sports Direct having not been impressed with their selection for a similar price bracket.

Had to order size 12 although I am size 11 so hoping that Shimanos really are a size smaller than stated

You will find they are. Shimano are notorious for the sizing running small on clothing and footwear.

I ordered these last year and ended up sending them back. They felt very clunky and big.

Hot great deal , not every body wants racey type streamlined shoes

Cool - thanks for the feedback. How much did you pay for them?

Not everybody wants clunky, chunky mtb shoes either.

It's a good deal, but they are fairly heavy and well built. I personally wouldn't like them for commuting unless I was on a real budget. They're also laced. Velcro or rachet straps are preferable IMHO.

They were around the £40 mark when I purchased them last year. I sent them back and got the Mavic Alpine which I still use today.

Fair enough. I know that I would struggle to buy a pair of branded shoes or trainers, including returns for £24.

I much prefer the look of these over your Mavic Alpine as they don't look like cycling shoes.

    Cheers anyway

Agreed with that, awful looking shoes, pay a bit extra and get the strapped/velcro ones

Are these ok for use with platform pedals (eg v8 pedals) or do you have to have cleats?
    northerngeek
@Bossworld just got these in the post today. the soles have a cover with 2 screws on where the cleats go. so if you are using these with platform pedals i think they will be fine. no water or mud will enter the shoe as the cleat area is covered. far better than trainers, the soles have alot of tread on them so should last longer esp. if using platform pedals with pins in.

quality of these shoes is great. and for £23.99 delivered they are a bargain. size 47 is about size 11 UK. im size 10.5 and they feel like a size 11. so not overly big for me.

Tried mine out with new SPD peddles today, first time I've fallen off a bike for many years.

@Baz8755 hahaha me too just fitted SPD pedals today but not fallen off yet. :p not ridden with SPDs for about 10 years.
