Voted cold, you buy this and you've wasted your money. Might aswell but something without suspension or front suspension only for that price. This is a deathtrap waiting to happen.

Why that? Is it not a good bike then?

what's wrong with this bike then?

I must admit, I was going to buy this bike in northern ireland, and 2 of the halfords personel told me to avoid it if I could, they seem to have to go back to the shop every day fixing them and alot of them have to be scrapped when the do the "halfords safety test + setup" or they struggle to swap parts from dodgey ones to put onto other ones to make them less dodgey

See if you can get a 2007 Carrera Vulcan from Halfords stores. Some still going at £199.99 - an absolute bargain of a hardtail bike. Wins awards every year. Forget the full sus ones at this price.

i bought the 800 version it was identical to this and was in a similar sale for £80 it was a bargain and a great bike

My boyfriend just bought this bike today and says its good for the money, he used to work in a bike shop, it was bought and setup by halfords and they set the gears up wrong (only 7 out of 21 were working because the left gripshift was setup wrong) but he brought it into the shop and hey fixed it in a couple of minutes. I would like to ask why some people are saying that this is a waste of money and why someone else thinks its a dangerous bike?

The only bad points of thisbike are that its a little bit heavy and the gears are gripshift but other than that it seems to be a good bike.

Have you seen this bike in person?
I would like to know what your reasons are for voting cold?
Also how is it a death trap waiting to happen?

Some answers would be nice :?

This is most definitely a deathtrap!!! Unless your going to use it for basic commuting only. It's designed to look the part but to take it off road you will break your neck
