Shogun Total War 2: Fall of the Samurai £6.24 @ Steam

CurleyFurleyCurleyFurley

I bought this for double the price from what seemed to be a fairly dubious site in Singapore that sold key codes (although it did work) and now Steam have reduced the price as part of their daily deal.

It's a great game, well reviewed and doesn't require the original Shogun 2.

Ok so I have been after this for ages for cheap and saw this myself before seeing it listed here. I have just bought this for £6.24 and paid via PayPal but it added Shogun 2 in my libary instead of Shogun 2 Fall Of The Samurai??

So now it will allow me to download Shogun 2 (which I didn't buy for £7.49) but has no download for Fall Of The Samurai (which I did buy and the PayPal even says so). Oddly if I now browse either game in the store it says I own both.

Can anyone who has just got this offer for Fall Of The Samurai or is going to buy it please confirm if this happens to you too?

It was similar when I bought it; it just seemed to be downloading an update for Shogun 2 (which I owned) but when you go into the start up screen, you select you campaign...in this case Fall of the Samurai. I guess it will download the Shogun game but the only campaign you'll play is FoS.

Well I'll try it then. Only issue is I have a small 128gb SSD and now have to make room.

Would be nice to get Shogun 2 for free but I want to play Fall Of The Samurai dam it!!

I own both, but in Steam it only shows Shogun 2. When you boot in, as the fellow says above, you are presented with both options (if you own both) or only Shogun 2 or only FOTS.

    Enjoy!

EDIT: if you right click on Shogun 2 in Steam, go to Properties and then DLC, it should show Fall of the Samurai.

Empire and Medieval 2 are my favourites, can't wait for Rome 2. Good price

Good price. Quite tempted, but not sure I will be able to give it the time it requires.
21gb download is pretty meaty :p

Great game, great price. But good point about download size- check your IPs download allowance or you could find yourself paying a hefty premium. (speaking from experience!)

It's worth pointing out that if you already own Shogun then the file isn't the full 21gb, I think it's more like 4gb

Just purchased TW2 and FoS and when I click "Install" for "Total War: SHOGUN 2" (presumably both games together), it's stating a 29,967MB download. Good lord! Just a warning I guess - incase someone tries to download it on their 56Kb modem! I reckon it would take about a week with a constant 50Kbs download! Lol
