Well i just got off the phone with EE and i said i wanted PAC code and they offered me 2gb data and unlimited texts n calls for £12.99 which is pretty pants , guess i will have to wait for a call from there follow up retention team ?
Got this for my mother a couple of weeks ago hers includes an extra 3gb free data per month. I rang and checked if it was a special offer for just the one month and they said no she gets it for the full 12 months £9.99 unlimited mins and texts plus 5gb data. Not a bad deal :)
Makes me laugh "crap deal" brigade. I don't see how this is in anyway crap other than it being a retention deal & not off the shelf. However my 2 years is up in July & CBA to get excited about any of the current handsets so think will go for simo & save money hoping for under £10 a month

so how much does the cheapest monthly "pack" cost, to qualify for this?

Looks like £10, under 'What packs are available':

http://ee.co.uk/help/my-account/pay-as-you-go/pay-as-you-go-packs-how-they-work
What is the limit on data boosts i.e 10gb limit
so how much does the cheapest monthly "pack" cost, to qualify for this?
Important things to remember about Free Boosts

Gaps between packs

You don’t need to buy your packs one after another to get your Free Boost – if you have a gap between packs we’ll pause counting and carry on as soon as you buy your next pack. You will get your Free Boost as soon as you have bought three 30-day packs or 12 seven-day packs.

You have 60 days to choose your Free Boost

If you haven’t chosen your Free Boost after 60 days, you won’t be able to boost your pack allowances until you are eligible for another Free Boost. We’ll send you a text to tell you when you are eligible again, so you don’t miss out.

Changing the duration of your pack

If you change from a 30-day pack to a seven-day pack, or vice versa, you will lose any Free Boosts you have and will need to buy the required number of packs again to get another Free Boost.

Edited By: smileypete on Jun 21, 2016 12:47: Put last line in bold, as important!
dwl99
How does this affect people who are already on this scheme & have accrued boosts?

I believe all that this means for those guys is the 'limit' on how many boosts you can get has been removed!

I think you can call EE directly and say you are due for up grade on your sim only
When they say what they have to offer the. You mentioned the BT deal of £16 got 15GB on 5G and unlimited text and minutes and ask if they can match it.

If they refuse then threaten to leave

The other way you can do it is go instore and get the deal of £16.99 for 5GB then 2 day after or so as you are still within your 14 days cooling of period call EE and tell them to match the BT deal or cancel your contract or ask to be put to the loyalty team and the would offer you the 20GB for 19.99.
I think that they have stopped this deal but only the loyalty team can offer it
choice4
Thanks katie4
I contacted EE as I was still within 14 days of taking up this contract and asked them to match BT offer of £16 for 15GB , unlimited text and minutes on 4G
And EE have given me 20GB for £19.99 with unlimited text and minutes and use In Europe free , no extra charge for phone calls and texts

Hi, can you tell me who you went through to at EE?

Only thing stopping me doing this is the amount of data so might just risk it, order it and then give them a call to try to up it to 20GB for that price! Worth a shot anyway..! :p

By asking Vodafone for a good deal on the S6.

Has anyone any info on this MasterCard thing? When does it arrive?
As a warning to anyone else who may have taken this contract, I finally had confirmation email through from EE which stated 2gb data rather than the 5gb ordered. Perhaps because I ordered during the offer but they were so slow processing the order, the email arrived post offer. They have reinstated the 5gb but I fear the Mastercard thing may be in the lap of the Gods.

No you can't..
Yes you can. EE allow you to use all your data for tethering.
Evidence ? I think your confusing things with Three.. EE don't allow jack..
Evidence? The fact I use half my EE data every month tethering my laptop to my iPhone?

voted hot from me op, like many others was with 3 for 12ish years paying under £18 per month for all you can eat until letter arrived last month, now paying £30 per month for all you can eat sim only tariff. i will be looking into this deal tomorrow and if it allows tethering and pay monthly will be changing asap. 10gb data is a good deal with unlimited calls and text really don't know why this is getting cold votes.

You should haggle with Three. Was offered the sane theb refused to budge and asked for PAC code theb they offered for £20 30GB Unlimited Mins and also can use all data as hotspot.

First they said £30 but refused to budge so offered that retention deal.
steve1221
not including vat in cost is just wrong. plus for £19.99 you can get 25gb from the refuse to loose team
how please?
Can them up, tell them you want to leave and no matter what they offer you ask for your pac. Nine times out of ten someone from the retentions team will call you after a couple of days and offer you an even better deal to keep you as a customer.
It can fail if you don't spend enough for them to want to keep you though. There's no point asking for unlimited minutes/texts and 20 gig of data plus a Samsung 7 for 15 quid a months if you never go over that 15quid. They never get the cost of the handset paid back (there not really free you know :) ).

not always. Twice I've been that 1 out of 10. Asked for PAC, and never had it a call offering me anything. Still went back though, for best deals and by far best coverage.
Login/call and change your internal marketing options to yes/on.

Unfortunately ASDA Mobile is 3G only. The only EE piggyback network that offers 4G is BT Mobile.

Heat from me OP. Where I am, the fastest home broadband speed is 0.5 mb/s. My mobile phone is on 3 and can achieve 5 mb/s. With EE, I can get 50 mb/s. For rural locations, this is brilliant. Good find.

They don,t seem to add up the tethering I used over 150GB last month tethering.

I've read that elsewhere. All our mobiles are on 3, the only problem with 3 here is that the 3G internet is crap on our local mast - sub 1Mb most of the time, and as low as a few hundred kpbs at times. Not sure if it's due to congestion or what.

It would be great if 3 would get round to upgrading this mast to 4G...
I live on a holiday park so no broadband at all and looked into mobile broadband and esspee is right. Three are the best deal 200 mins AYCE data and 30GB tethering. They don,t seem to add up the tethering I used over 150GB last month tethering. I am in a small village 100 yards from the sea right on the bottom of England tethering I get 11mb on 3 and 22mb on EE and 11 is ok for me not the 50mb I was used to with virgin. So if people can better receptions on three it isn,t hard to work out the maths

Edited By: kev72 on May 18, 2016 15:42: Error
Serious question for those voting cold -

Are there any better/cheaper fast broadband options for those of us who can't get Virgin or Fibre?

I was seriously thinking about going for this, but the number of cold votes is making me wonder what I'm missing!

I took out a new T Mobile contract in February 2015, a few days before they dropped all new contracts in favour of EE.
There unlimited data a works great for me, speed it limited to 5-7mbps, for unlimited plans.
But still can watch YouTube in HD and no issues for browsing.
I also tether, when away from home in hotels, even though the T&Cs says you can't, works great for me!
I use about 12-15 GB of data a month and never had issues with them blocking or slowing me down.
Really pleased as at time got LG G4 and the plan with unlimited data for £26 a month.
No other plan could come close to it price wise, with a new phone at the time and that data.

Do you get peice hike every year on top?
if an old sim on a prior tariff (pre Feb 2011) make sure its not on what they considered then a FAIR(daily)usage of 40Mb
I used to use the PAYG 6monthweb for £20 a while back, originally it was limited to 500mb downloads and unlimted browsing, I think they upped it to 1gb downloads and unlimited browsing but video didn't count as browsing. Maybe they have changed it but I think it's still the case, its probably buried in the terms and conditions somewhere.
