Heat for the price.
As usual, city struggling to sell tickets, even for Champions league home games.
Manchester is RED.

At least City fans support their local team.

it's ridiculous that City cant sell out for a champions league match against Sevilla. I know a lot of their fans are new, but its the champions league.
Who has said they can't sell out? Give them chance!
Why is it called the champions league when most teams in it aren't champions.

Luckily, the rest of us just view this as a great deal to get more kids/people to games that can't afford the PL games.
Comments such as 'Manchester is RED' or ''Arsenal/City/Utd till I die' just make the rest of us cringe at how pathetic & sad you come across to the rest of us.

Whilst I think it's great for City to do this but the figures are there:
Average CL attendance last year = 43,059
Seats = 54,331
79.25% capacity. It's not just the loss in revenue (even selling those 10,000 seats at £5 a pop is £50k not including faculties) but it's the poor view when you see so many empty seats on the telly for one of the biggest competitions in the world when the 'fought' so hard to get into it.
The capacity was less than 50,000 last season you numpty

I knew city wouldnt take boro seriously,we were lucky to scrape past sheff weds. Well done to Boro and a premier league return looks likely in may.

Didn't help us having a 7 hour flight from Abu Dhabi that only landed last night. Whoever organised that one needs a P45. Utter madness.
Nonetheless, well done Boro

Great deal.

Shame they couldnt throw a few more tickets boros way, alot of people missed out
well done to City for passing the discount onto Boro as well. Some clubs offer home fans discount and don't pass it on to the away fans. UTB
great price for a football game, probably accurate to say that it will help fill the stadium more than usual, but win win for the fans

Yes, it is. But sadly you can't buy any Man United blu-ray FA Cup finals as they hadn't invented the blu-ray the last time Man U won the FA Cup, but if you are lucky you might be able to buy a copy of the last time Man U lost the FA Cup final, back in 2007

Will this double come out on DVD too?

You realise that Chelsea will win the title.

So from going for the quad you will end up with a single trophy, with virtually the same prestige as the community shield that we won against Wigan.

Well worth £1billion.

That would be the Chelsea game which was sold out 3 weeks beforehand - what exactly is your point?

http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Tickets-and-Travel/2014/January/City-v-Chelsea-sold-out

Point is there was a lot of empty setas visible on the TV !...which point are you missing as i thought the article put it across very well ( assuming you did read the article ?)

A lot? may be 10 empty seats at the family stand end at a night game - doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out why they may be empty. You cant sell a ticket twice.

City sell out week in week out - I can think of 2 league and FA Cup games that havent sold out in the past 2 to 3 years. We have a waiting list of 7000 people who have already paid £100 towards a season ticket when the extension is done, no need to worry about city selling out.

Not sure why this is cold (well I have a good idea why). Chepest I can see this for online is £30 from PC World. So hot from me. I wish all English League Club's would do this. Sell the game with there own cover on it.

I'm glad we're thinking along the same lines. I'm stunned at how cold this has gone!

Firstly. Poor poor deal. Secondly, it's messi and bale on the cover not "shrek" rooney. He hasn't been on a cover since 12

Big thanks to the OP. I'm trying to do the 92 league grounds and had virtually given up on doing the Etihad when I failed even to get a £50 ticket for a home game earlier in the season.Would be nice if Arsenal did something similar - tickets for the Emirates are such a rip off that you have to pay a £25 membership fee just for the privilege of applying for tickets!
Arsenal always do deals for cup games. They charged £10 for the Coventry match

Maybe. but that must have been to members only - by the time they went on general sale they'd sold out!

?? You clearly do not follow / go to Chelsea matches. That is standard price for a Premier League game at the moment, unfortunately - if you want to see any of the BIG teams. Chelsea have always discounted cup and midweek games, all Champions League tickets are 35 quid, all Capital One Cup tickets are 25 quid, and FA Cup is 35 quid. Last year all Europa League matches were 25 quid too.
