I have a pair of these and paid £230 on ebay, for this price by a uk retailer is a good bargain
Shure SE530 Sound Isolating Earphones

Formerly known as the E500, the SE530 make the transition from the iconic E Series line, to the brand-new range of Sound Isolating Earphones from Shure (SE Models). Evolved from personal monitor technology road-tested by pro musicians and fine-tuned by Shure engineers, the SE530 earphones deliver unparalleled acoustic accuracy. Triple TruAcoustic MicroSpeakers, one tweeter and dual woofers, deliver an expansive sound stage with full-bodied bass for an auditory experience rivaled only by live performances.

Sound Isolating Design
Included sound isolating sleeves block over 90 percent of ambient noise. Combined with a low-profile ergonomic design and modular cable options, interruptions from the outside world are minimized - so you can focus on your passion.

Triple TruAcoustic MicroSpeakers
Optimized for listening to high-quality recordings and lossless formats, the SE530 utilizes three balanced armature drivers - one dedicated tweeter and dual woofers. Additionally, integrated passive crossovers ensure that high and low frequencies remain distinct and defined. The result is an incredibly wide and detailed soundstage, distinguished by precision highs and robust bass. This innovative triple driver configuration is first in class

They are awesome earphones!! i got them with the PTH for travelling 7 months ago and didnt pay much more than that from advanced because they price match as well.

No disrespect to you all that have bought these however whilst they may be the best earphones out there I couldn't personally justify paying so much for such an item
But if you've got the money it's your choice.
Sorry, it may be cheaper than the 'normal' price but I couldn't bring myself to vote it hot.

Are these the same as the ones you get from the pound shop? :whistling:

No, these are nearly 215 times better!

Seriously though, these are exceptional headphones having borrowed a pair for a trip away. Whether they are worth it is the same judgement call as any luxury item. If I thought I would never lose them I would be tempted, but guaranteed I'd have them a week, and leave them in some hotel room or on a train.

I got the superfi 5 pro amazing headphones, was going to pay £120 for them, got them for £60. iF i had the money i would spend £200, alot of money.

the amount of times the cable breaks on this type of HP I wouldnt buy them unless you could replace the cable. Cables break even on expensive HP, shame to waste £200 on a bit of wire breaking.

toad

btw, just got some Grado SR60, and they are superb, £40 from USA, friend brought them over for me. £70 in the UK, good ol r.o.b.

£60 is a cracking price for that model. If I'd seen them at that price I probably wouldn't have got caught in the dreaded 'pay a little more' scenario that eventually resulted in getting the 530's.

I do love them though and one day i'll finish paying for them!

By the way these are now £199.99 delivered at Play.com
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3438222/Shure-SE530-Sound-Isolating-Earphones/Product.html

I still don't think that they are worth even this price - and I'm not putting it up as a new submission as it will get slated like this one!

Even through i love, music, mp3 players, hi-fi, ..etc. And full size headphones.. i would,nt pay this sort of money to walk, run around with...... i can understand it, if you were chillin at home, pluged into a good amp, BUT these type.. no way... stick with the senn 300, etc, for that.
