Shutter Island DVD £9.85 @ Zavvi

Mark Ruffalo and Leonardo DiCaprio team up as a pair of U.S. Marshals who travel to a secluded island off the coast of Massachusetts to search for an escaped mental patient, uncovering a web of deception along the way as they battle the forces of nature and a prison riot in this period film directed by Martin Scorsese. Laeta Kalogridis adapts Dennis Lehane's novel of the same name, with Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures splitting production and distribution duties. Ben Kingsley co-stars as the head of the institution where the patient resided, while Michelle Williams portrays Leonardo DiCaprio's deceased wife, whose memory haunts him during the investigation. Max von Sydow, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson, and Jackie Earle Haley round out the supporting cast.

Great movie but too pricey for DVD - just wait a little longer.

I thought the film was ok, however, I don't see why anyone would want this on DVD. Watching it once is enough and I could never imagine watching it again.
this price for blu ray would be worth flagging up but surely tenner is standard for DVD.. who wants to pay tenner for a single DVD release nowadays. wait a month and it'll be slashed.
I disagree. I reckon you can watch this film at least twice!
good film up to about 75%.
They still spell the name wrong, I told them before to drop the U and replace with "I", which just about sums up the film.
We told you slackbladders11 we are reserving that title for the sequel :P lol.
Totally agree though, I thought the acting was impressive but the plot was terrible, I kept hoping that it was going to redeem itself at the end but the director went for the obvious route......just like the author I presume. This is a film to rent not buy.
Thanks anyway lucerysmum. ;)
