Shutter Island: Shutter Island is an insanely good mystery from legendary director Martin Scorsese, based on the novel by Dennis Lehane ("Mystic River"). Leonardo DiCaprio stars as a US Marshal investigating the case of an escaped mental patient in a thriller that will keep you guessing to the end!

When U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) arrives at the asylum for the criminally insane on Shutter Island, what starts as a routine investigation quickly takes a sinister turn. As the investigation unfolds and Teddy uncovers more shocking and terrifying truths about the island, he learns there are some places that never let you go.

Super 8: Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams join forces in this extraordinary tale of youth, mystery and adventure. Super 8 tells the story of six friends who accidentally film a train wreck only to discover that something unimaginable escaped during the crash. Now, the only thing more mysterious than what it is... is what it wants.

You make a perfectly fair point and thanks for the heads up. I did see that Gzoop sold this for a slightly cheaper price before posting but didn't think that we were allowed to post deals from a 3rd party, particularly as they only have a 94% positive rating. I've now included this in the title to give people a choice.

I have never seen "Shutter Island" but "Super 8" is basically a good family film which has been totally ruined by a script that is full of swearing. Why do they do that?
Fuzzbap#13
Bit of a weird pairing of films! Not seen Super 8, but hot for Shutter Island alone.

Exactly what I was thinking. Super 8 is superb and shutter island is pretty dope too!

Hmm Super 8 has got a age rating of 12+ on it, so would not call it typical family film, depends on what your family consits of, as I think this film is fine for people over 12. What did you want to watch it with some 5 year olds, then I would say watch the lion king etc. Has a 12+ rating on it for a reason....

Exactly my point! The film would make a perfect PG if it wasn't for the gratuitous language, which IMHO added absolutely nothing to the film even for adults.

Whilst on the subject of age classifications, does anyone here suddenly start using obscene language in the presence of kids when they reach the age of 12?
