Epic game! Epic price!
great find!
Thanks alot voted hot
Definitely hot, though I already have it on steam. At this price everyone should own!
what is this game like, I tried the demo for the xbox version and really didn't like it, but I love the settlers games on pc, is the pc version of this less like the xbox one?
If you mean Civilization Revolution, then they are not really alike. I find Civ Rev to lack a lot of the depth that Civ 4 offers.
I just bought this. It's £24 on steam, so £7.99 is pretty good for this game

This game was also top PC game of 2006 if anyone wants to know.
Awesome game at an unbeatable price. I am currently addicted to this game btw.
Amazing game!
Got it on steam as well. But still, it's definitely a classic.
Is this an expansion pack? Or can I play this as a stand alone?

Ta in advance
Wasted weeks of my life on this game through it's variations.

Here's is a further clue...

Sid Meiers Civilization IV - Complete Edition
I love civ and have played 1 through 3 since civ first came out. I have looked longingly at civ 4 for a while now but I have not been sure if my pc can live with it. If anyone here can give me some advice as to whether my system can handle it that would be cool. I built my pc about a year ago and the spec is as follows:

AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 3600+ 960MB RAM

The graphics worry me the most, I don't have a card, but I have onboard NVIDIA nForce.

Will this be enough to run the game? Looks like a real steal at this price. I could probably translate War in Peace into Swahili in all the time I have spent on earlier versions...

Edit: Hmm, had a look at the link, not hopeful...
Should be okay, mine's ancient. Alternatively get a v. cheap graphics card - a £20 one will do. It's not a very 'graphic' game. You could probably use some more memory though - how come you built it only a year ago and have 960mb RAM?

Anyway, I think there's a Civ 4 demo you can download, or possibly one for the expansion packs, so you can give it a go.

Edit - seriously, you'll be fine I think.
Thanks for the reply. I may well have a punt then. At the price I am very tempted.

I built the pc maybe 18 months ago now, thinking about it. We were extremely strapped for cash and had been using hand-me-down pcs for about 5 years. Our old relic died and my brother in law tried to sell me his dad's old pc. I thought "screw that, I'll build my own". Budget was tight and we only wanted enough to run XP with broadband really, so 1 gig it was.

Off to check out a demo...
I just recently upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 260, so this should run like a dream on it (then again all my games do). Been looking for a game like this for some time, but overlooked all Sid Meier's games over the years. Now seeing of how highly rated Sid Meier's games are (by all critics and gamers) and at this price with all the expansions included, its worth a try.

thanks op heat added
Currently down to 6.99.
The original came out like 4 years ago, the last expansion something like 2 years ago and this was fairly laptop-friendly to begin with. It's more a matter of how pretty do you want it and how big you'll be having the maps for resource drain on your computer.

Excellent game, I have it all (bought seperately) already but bought this edition last year as a gift for someone who hadn't played it. At this price you won't go wrong if you like Civ games at all.
