Mixed reviews on Amazon, would have replaced my Argos one because it gets through batteries every 3 months, this Siemens Door Chime seems to suffer the same fate and added problem of having to be reset more often will pass.

I bought a Byron wireless doorbell at B&Q. The transmitter button's batteries last for ages - probably a year or more. The receiver plugs in to a mains socket. The only downside is that the receiver has to learn the transmitter's code, so if there's a power cut you have to "train it" (turn power off to receiver for 10 seconds, turn on and press the doorbell within 10s).

This is one technology I give up with.. been through so many wireless bells/brands and they all end up in the bin. Go wired

I bought this for an elderly neighbour,

I can thoroughly recommend it, also available with only one receiver for £8.99

Been needing one of these for a while but decided to go for this one instead at £8.49 for the white version:-

Waterproof, option of drilling or sticking it to the door frame and the big bonus of the receiver feeding off the mains rather than batteries - lots of options for tunes too :)

Home Bargains have similar (different brand) instore, and I think they might be slightly cheaper. I bought a couple last year and am happy enough with them.
