'So how can you tell which lining you've got? Peer inside your bottle. If it's a shiny coppery-bronze, it's the old, BPA-infused liner. If it's a pale matte yellow, you've got the EcoCare liner, a new powder-based, co-polyester, water-based liner that SIGG says is 100% BPA- and phthalate-free.'

Cut and paste from the website.

Sperm count ..."paah" (but htanks for the link)
After geting stomped in the sacks by careering horse flesh & suffering multi-coloured gonads for MANY years,
..I was amazed when the wife had our baby!

Thanks OP for the update.

& having read the Time article, I'd frankly dismiss it, I also rang sigg to probe further & am happy with the info received, ..put it like this folks, if you drink out of a stryrene foam cup (tea / coffee et al at a maccy d's or similar you are in all likelihood ingesting more crap as ppm from the production & molecules from the factory than the WAY lower than upper limits of BPA within older siggs, that hasn't leached from repeated testing...
So old style light colour inners ..fine, the new liners are beige in colour (darker)
there's nasty stuff in car's keyboards, petrol, furnishings, cleaning agents.... it's everywhere.

Judging by the time articles mention of hollywood glitterati to pad the piece out, time was going through a news lull & had to do a bit of a daily mail, less news, more scare.

Forgot to mention mainly these are the regular lids on siggs, however one we chose had a natty little sports top (new model) not my cup of tea, however maybe someone elses preference.

Great find. Still in stock at Portrack Lane in Stockton. They have the 1.0 litre grey bottles and the 0.6 litre Gorilla bottle. Both of these have the standard screw top. Also there is the green spring 0.6 litre bottles with the sports cap. All at £3.99. You will find them in the household section near the Thermos Flasks. H&R for the OP. :)
