Not a bad deal, but it comes up as not available for delivery or collect from store. So out of stock I suppose.:-(

D40 compatible?

Most folks, who would click for more info, know that Canon and Nikon have different mounts I'd reckon.

Thanks for pointing out the deal, I need something a bit longer than my Nikon 55-200 VR. Not sure if this is good enough though. (Or even works with my D40)

"70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro
70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of the new APO 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro for Nikon and 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro for Nikon. The Nikon D40, D40x and D60 cameras cannot fully support the original Nikon lenses, as there is no AF motor built into these cameras, therefore they require a motor built into the lens to achieve autofocus. Many people are unaware of this until they have purchased their new Nikon D40 or D40x. The inclusion of the built-in motor in these two new lenses allows autofocus with all Nikon cameras. "

Great deal for those who don't own Canon

The reason I didn't include the Nikon mount in my deal was that it was out of stock and has been out of stock for a long time on their website.
