Lol these keep cropping up, in my mind Setanta will never get hot on here as so many bad service stories including my own and what ever the offer i would never take it up, Be very careful and read other threads if you are considering this shambolic company :-)

lets just say once you've subscribed online which takes about 5 minutes, you will find it very hard to cancel it, a quick search of setanta on here and you'll find the problems people, including myself, have had

Try to cancel after the 3mths and you will find out.

I had the free trial with them, and had no problems at all cancelling it.
But they don't have enough games to warrant the extra money IMO.
#13
worst company ever, avoid like a disease ridden nhs ward
#14
The problem with setanta is that they make it very very hard for you to cancel once they have you onboard.
#15
People go on about the problems cancelling - just do what I did - cancel your direct debit, wait for them to send you a letter, ignore it, wait for another, call and tell them you couldnt get through originally so cancelled debit - they turn it off there and then. (and you get the added bonus of free setanta all the time between cancelling your d/d and finally cancelling!)

Works for me like that!
I have been with them twice now and on both occasions before the last payment came out I cancelled the direct debit. They then phone you up to get that months payment and then its cancelled. I have taken up this offer as I have had no problems with them at all. Also the first time I cancelled I phoned them up & got straight through. This time I got told to cancel the direct debit by the setanta sales person!!
Great deal!

These idiots are now threatening me with court costs for £9.99 that is owed. I told them that I cancelled the D/D because I was not getting a signal & that when I phoned them up to complain, one of their reps told me to cancel the D/D. They then asked me if I cancelled after the last D/D that went out. I said yes, as it was only a fiver a month for the first 3 months so even though the signal was coming & going, I chose to keep Setanta for the first 3 months then cancel. Anyway, they then said I had to write to cancel but as a gesture of goodwill, they would cancel the current agreement if I paid them the £9.99 that was owing. I naturally told them to 'Stuff it'.......

Conveniently.... They can't find the log of the phone call I made to them to complain about the signal.

The saga continues but I will not be paying another penny to these morons. I would rather pay a solicitor to write them a letter.

I cancelled my subscription, and then had to threaten them with legal action in order for them to stop taking unauthorised payments from my account, and refund what they had taken. Avoid this company!!
#23
By any other name......garbage.

Not to mention the coverage of the game is poor the commentating was so rubbish i actually turned down the sound and put the radio on! so to see there getting more games is terrible! this time next year i wouldn't be suprised if the price doubles:x
