Signalex USB charging kit consists of 3 separate short USB leads, USB one end, the other end is:

Mini-USB
Micro-USB
iPod/iPad/iPhone dock connector

They are super-short (about 10cm length total) which is actually a pretty cool idea for people charging off laptops or travelling a lot - combine this with a USB mains and/or car charger (PoundLand seem to do a twin unit for a £1) for maximum benefit! One of my 'friends' paid £6 for a single 10cm iPod charging cable last month!

I can also confirm that they not only charge but also sync (I can see why this would confuse some people, it might be assumed that only the power pins are connected) - also, even better, the iPod lead has a deep enough connector it can sync iPods and iPhones in their cases (even the Bumper case for the iPhone 4).

All stores seem to have lots of stock and this is definitely a bargain, I bought 3 sets just so I can leave them around the place! A normal mini/micro-USB lead normally sets you back a few quid these days, so a 3-pack for £1 is great - I know not everyone will like short leads but personally I really like the idea, less tangle and less mess!

Couldn't figure out how to put up an image properly so I'll try this:

Hopefully that'll explain what I was trying to explain better! Let me know what you think!

Heat from me !
For 33p each - very handy even for backups :)

A good thing for most people I think, I'm gonna get this to shove in my laptop bag, saves me having to carry anything.

For reference, most mobile devices from the last 2 or 3 years will use MicroUSB (HTC, Palm, BlackBerry, Nokia etc.)
Some (notably HTC) used MiniUSB before that.

Brilliant find.

Just goes to show how much other companies rip you off for cables.
#8
I brought these so I had a spare for my HTC Desire but it doesn't charge or sync :(
The other leads work ok though

Htc's wont sync from a normal mini-usb, you need to use the cable that comes with the phone. It should still charge though. ( well this is the case with my Hero anyways)

Great price and voted hot but bet the Poundlands near me won't have them - will nip in tomorrow and have a look anyway.

Maybe you have a faulty one as I have a Desire and it charges just fine. The cabling should work no problem as USB cables are straight through wired, 4 pins map to 4 pins the other end. I guess at this low cost occasionally you'll come across faulty ones (even with expensive cables like genuine Apple iPod ones I've had faulty ones out of the box).

These should filter into the local PoundLands over the next week or two, they are a new product line just like the iPad cases and protectors.

As already stated these are 'CHARGE' only cables and will more than likely have the DATA lines shorted with each other (Decent smart phones will then charge at a higher current rate >500mA). Obviously with the data lines shorted you aint gonna get connected to a computer :p

**EDIT**
Just read the OP properly and it does actually appear that these cables are fully wired and will allow you to sync with your computers, great if thats what your looking for but charge time will be pretty slow due to the USB 500mA limitation. (This limitation won't be inplace if you plug these cables into most USB 240v plug chargers as again these will have the DATA pins shorted to charge > 500mA)

bay = eBay? I'm not sure!

Well, I'll see if I can get some more and I will sell them at cost to people here if they like? Just the £1 + post (I guess about 50p for 2nd class Large Letter post, I'll work that out later if any takers) - got loads of used jiffy bags at work.

Is 'the bay' a dreaded word because of all the unscrupulous people who post things at over-inflated prices and trick people into buying them?

I'll have a look on the way home from work if I get the chance.

er yes to the ebay question - over inflated prices that are used as comparisons by some sellers here !

would be great if you could check your local store on the way home - cheers
