I was told by ikea staff their matresses are made by silent night but just have a different material covering????

I bought a wooden bedstead with silentnight mattress from Argos - the problem is they sell the wrong mattress with the wrong bed so the mattress breaks - hence the returns

Having slept on an Ikea Mattress and a Silent night one, there is definately a huge difference.
Anyway this is the cheapest I can find Silent Night ones!

You can't get a good mattress for this kinda money - but, it may some who need one for a guest bed or on a tight budget - so I voted hot.

I bought a silentnight double divan and mattress six yrs ago. The divan base isnt the best quality and one hole for the headboard has never worked properly. However, the mattress has been fantastic. I bought one from the top of their range at the time and I've never regretted it. I am not a lightweight and it's only in the past nine months or so that I've noticed some sagging in the mattress, at one part. I don't turn the mattress often though and it would probably still be fine if i had. There is no squeakiness or roll together and the edges have stayed like they should.

If i was lighter, I might be annoyed at only getting six years from the mattress, but as it is, I would definitely recommend them based on my experience.

HOT and rep added.

out of interest, anyone know where is best for mattresses if not Argos? Need double and firm...

Why expired?

Can anyone recommend a king size memory foam mattress for around £300?
#15
does anyone else sell this mattress? I can't find it any where so got no price to compare it to. I never believe Argos and there 50% off claim unless I can see it else where. Argos do a KS Silent night for 179 with micro quilt - sounds very similar

Ikea do a 25 year guarantee on their Sultan mattresses. Don't know how comfy they are though.

if you have a few hundred quid spare i would say hypnos are the best with a 5 year guarantee + a further 5 year 'wear & tear'
ive slept on hypnos beds and they really are the best.

People are not too keen on Silent Night from my post, but I'm buying one to replace a Sultan Mattress. They may have a guarantee, but the guarantee is for you to sleep on an uncomfortable mattress! Also Ikea mattresses are a different size to normal so fitted sheets might be an issue!

Invest in a Hypnos

Feels like the spare room one I bought last year - great thanks. We went for the Hampshire cushion top so you don't directly feel the springs when you are lying down. Does that help

Yes excellent thanks, been after a new Mattress for a while, & this seems good value at <£200.

For info - when i went to this site (at work) our systems here have identified the site as a source of spyware/malware!?! Might just be a mis-clasification from our systems (i.e. a mistake) - but thought I'd let people know.

The proper website is actually matTressman.co.uk/ the missing 't' one is just a fako ads placeholder site.

These Argos Hampshire ones. Does anyone know if the base on the double comes in two halves cos the picture looks like a complete base and there is no way it'll go up my stairs in one piece!

The best mattresses by far, IMHO, are Tempur. I bought one 10 years ago and never looked back.

Re Silentnight, the same half-price deal is on at Homebase (which has Quidco cashback)
