have one of these with divan in our spare room......its good, not as good as my other coolmax foam mattress...nb, think this one seems to have coils with a foam topper - but as an all-in-one product...paid about 470 with divan so this is a good price

Oh I want one! But looks like I'll have to just roll about on them in bed showrooms at the present time.

Only 3cm of memory foam, not really enough. A decent memory foam mattess will have between 5cm and 8cm.

However not a bad price for a reasonable mattress.

Memory foam is the big craze at the moment but make sure that is what you want. Don't buy one before you have tried it. Try it in the shop.

I decided against memory foam and got an ordinary foam mattrass without a memory foam layer. I find it much more comfortable. No wait for the foam to readjust, it's instant and really soft. Memory foam is too hard for me, I like a soft comfort of my (non-memory) foam mattrass.

A very sensible warning They are very different when compared to traditional mattresses. I have had a Tempur for about 7 years now and wouldn't want to change. However I have known people who just couldn't get on with memory foam. Tempur used to do a 30 day home trial scheme.

I know our local Tempur retailer has enclosed room for Tempur demos. I think you can actually reserve it for a trial kip.

5cm is the optimum depth. Only go deeper if you want to be hot in bed.

Someone said that they had one of these mattresses and they thought it contained springs. This mattress appears to be reflex foam with a very thin layer of memory foam on top. If you don't like being too hot in bed, then you would be better off with a mattress that contains springs, so that air can flow through it.

Someone mentioned trying a bed out in a shop. The trouble is that you can only get a very rough idea trying a bed out for 10 mins with your clothes on.You are better off buying from someone who gives a satisfaction guarantee so that you can try it out for a few nights. There are a few on line sellers who do this, and it is in their interest to make sure you make the right choice the first time. Otherwise it will cost them to replace it.
