I just ordered this bed with 4 drawers:

Unique Miracoil supreme continuous spring mattress for consistent support and no roll-together with Posturezone for more density in central third for additional comfort and support. Covered in a modern medium-loft micro-quilted Belgian damask with extra layers of fillings and additional padding.
Storage options offer white drawer modules with upholstered drawer-fronts. Mattress depth 22cms. Height 60cms. Length: single and double 190; king 200cms. Mixed fibres. Gold.

To get this price and pay 2010 you need to use XX320 and XX968. There are different option, without drawers or even a cheaper bed.

Quidco is 8% (calculated on amount less vat), so should get another £18.50 back (finger crossed)

great price.

I can't wait till we get it, our bed is fairly old and uncomfortable. Also as I can pay next year it's quite nice, can save £20 a month and then pay it off!

Just to repeat a previous post with the addition of I have just got rid of this mattress after 9 months. They are really really uncomfortable after 6-9months. I prefer to sleep on the driveway than on one of these. Why do you thing they are so cheap?

Please don't buy these - after two weeks you'll be able to feel the all of the individual springs.
This is one thing you really shouldn't skimp on.

I know there's a recession but go to a bed store and try before you buy. You can spend up £10k on a bed and its not right for you.

TRY before you buy!

I bought one of these mattresses from Argos a couple of years ago. I agree with the above, it was bl**dy awful after about a year, I had to get rid of it.

Yes was thinking the same too, if it's going to get that bad within a few months then I can contact Littlewoods, I think...

I was looking at the review before buying and overall they are good. I have looked at more expensive beds too, but they still get mixed reviews.... So I though I put my bets on this one, at least it's cheap!

Silentnight are not great quality beds but a well known name. Had one before and after a while (less than 2 years) the mattress was awful.
On something like a bed you need to consider the compfort (so try it out before ) and also the lifetime cost. if the mattress is useless after a couple of years then this isn't that cheap really is it?
Have also had a mid range Ikea mattress which also was rubbish after a couple of years

Have now got a memory foam pocket sprung mattress which after two years feels as good as it did when we first got it. It was not however a bargain by teh above standards

Would recommend you search the forum on MSE as some good advice on there and a large "sticky" thread on choosing a bed

Interesting ... Trying before you buy is all good and well ... but what of all these posts that suggest you try 1st and that the mattress is rubbish after 6 months. Try before you buy doesn't quite work then does it?
#13
With regards to warranties/guarantees you try getting them to cough up replacements etc even small claims courts kick out claims because manufacturers guidelines weren't followed it a mattress protector was not used.

To the second question about after six months - most proper companies who make beds ie Vi-spring offer an after 30 night sleeps replacement for a different firmness. Even the proper memory foam mattress offs a free 30 day trial. In addition, they tell you how to look after the bed and how it will last 10 and not 6-9 months.

Please save your money and buy a decent bed

Don't look at the price - try the bed. Open springs are the cheaper end of beds. you'll hear the springs every time you move regardless of what they claims - unless you are less than 5 stone in weight.

I looked at around 50 beds and laid on all of them with prices ranging from £650 - £4800. I found a medium Vi-spring mattress at £850 was perfect for us. You can't tell there are spring in it and it supports the body really well.

Also, don't listen to people who say buy an orthopaedic bed if you have a bad back. Speak to a sales adviser from the major retails ie Furniture Village and Independent retailers. They can look at what form the mattress takes when you lie on it and give you loads more advice.

Beds are individual and not one size fits all.

Weve just got rid of our Silentnight Miracoil which we had for 2 years. After about a year there were permanent indentations where we laid (no we are not that fat!) and the whole mattress wobbled if either of us turned over.

Weve just bought a Relyon Pocket Sprung Mattress after trying out loads of mattresses in stores and it is superb.

I agree with others that I would never buy an open coil mattress again.

Snap, bought a Relyon pocket sprung divan today. After years of having comparatively cheap beds, decided that a comfortable bed is far more important the older you get, as bones start to hurt!

do littlewoods direct put on intrest when you get the bill next year, my sister said they do and its 39.9% ?

Without a doubt the most uncomfortable bed I have ever owned.....

Its cheap for a reason people, trust me....

We bought one, the mattress was truely awful after about 4 months we ended up sleeping back on the old mattress in the spare room. The new mattress lasted 5 months then went to the tip.

Why do people try to save money on beds, we tried, worst thing we could ever have done...

You spend a huge % of your life in bed, you need the best.

We lashed out and bought a pocket sprung mattress, now thats a proper one.

I hav a lower back problem, my partner doesn't, we both enjoy a good nights sleep now.....

PS, saying to your mates "hey, we got an absolute bargain on the internet really cheap bed, aren't we clever" is very good, but bet you wont say "Hey that really cheap bed?, got rid after 6 months" as you will feel bad over it. try before you buy........

poor quality, six months luxury, lifetime pain. but good deal

I agree that Miracoil stuff is false economy - very uncomfortable after a short while. Avoid!
#23
I second that, avoid like the plague as it gets VERY uncomfortable after a wee while.
