I take this model is specific to Argos ... nearest thing similar I can find is the essentials range 1000 pocket sprung .... average price over £330. I know theres technically huge difference in spec 2800 ...& 1000 ... . anyone know anymore abt this mattress ??

I found this Silentnight Harding Pocket Comfort Double Mattress which works out at £191.46 after the discount, RRP £599.99. Gets good reviews.

Yep almost all the big mattress manufacturers call their range something different to each retailer it's sold to so they can claim it's an amazing bargain. I'm sure this mattress would be ok - but nothing special given the spec.
We have a sealy mattress that is "exclusive" to the one-store local bed shop here in Bristol. Yet one that looks identical is sold in the shop opposite with a different product code.

I felt exactly the same way but to be honest it'll be crazy to buy a mattress without trying it first and I think I would prefer one with memory foam.

All people prefer different mattresses and there's more to a mattress then just the firmness rating. So imo best to go to a shop (independents are best imo) and try before you buy, especially as we spend a third of our lives laying on our bed so it's important to get one that feels best for you.

Thanks op, went for this one.

Whilst not a deal you can get them to recycle your old one too (for £20) - 391/6160

Or ring the council to collect it for free. in about 2 months.

not too bad a mattress. Very good price, it's soft as butter though. Not suitable long term for anyone over 15stone. Argos is the biggest downer on this.. They got voted the worst company to but a mattress from, all be it so did Bensons and Dreams.

thanks, gone for one at £216 delivered.

I give up Argos have the most useless delivery times ever invented for mattresses! Cheap with the discount but completely useless delivery times.
#34
Thanks - just for anyone having issues with out of stock warnings/delivery errors I had to click on it about 5 times before it gave me a delivery date!

Also available on their eBay outlet with 20% off automatically deducted at the checkout X) I couldn't order from the Argos website as the 'local warehouse is out of stock' but their outlet worked like a charm. Estimated delivery 3-5th October, thanks OP
