I bought one of this same model at Makro about two years ago and cannot recommend it. IMHO it is a very cheap, poor quality mattress. The mattress has lumps everywhere and the support seems nonexistent. I wake up every morning with my back hurting. Have ordered a replacement mattress already due to come any day - memory foam + pocket sprung. I can't wait to have a good nights sleep again.

AFAIK you can get a 'DAY PASS' from any Makro store which will allow you to shop, as a means of trying them out.

I have done it loads of times.

Ring first to make sure that it's nationwide.

I had a silent night from makro a few years ago. totally ruined in a few years. You only get what you pay for. I spent £500 on another new matress, 2 years on, as good as new.

Shouldn't be happening really, day passes are meant for people who have say, left their cards at home. A day pass has to be issued against a registered makro card number and 2 forms of ID should be seen proving the person is the person who's name is registered on the card.

To register you would need :

Work for somebody else - A letter on headed paper requesting a Makro card for you which must be signed by a manager of said company

Self employed/Own a company-

Business cheque book(possibly business bank card) OR Vat certificate OR CIS card

AND
2 Invoices for goods purchased over £50 (the £50 isn't really too crucial if you have none for that much)

AND
Personal ID

Don't they also allow professional people: doctors, civil servants, police officers, driving instructors, etc to join as well?

Don't have a van so could see getting the king size home is a bit of a non-starter :D
